About this house rental

Welcome to our recently renovated cool and stylish mid-century modern home! We bought this place because we think this is the best location in St. Augustine - walking distance to all the action but the benefits of a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The house lies on one of the best streets on Anastasia Island with expensive waterfront homes. The house is only a 5 minute walk to the Bridge of Lions and another 5 minutes to the historic center and a short walk to several good eateries and bars. Recently renovated and decorated with designer touches throughout by its' architect owner. With the water being only a few hundred feet away, the house often receives nice regular breezes in the afternoons that gently sway the palm trees in the front yard. You'll enjoy relaxing in the shade of the private garden/courtyard that the house wraps around. The master suite is spacious and opens to the courtyard and has a cute sitting/desk area that provides quiet privacy should you need to get some work done.

The 4th bedroom is a flex space that doubles as a TV room between hallway and primary bedroom. The space has comfy lounge chairs that convert to twin beds should you need it. Given potential privacy issues, since you have to go through this space to get to the primary bedroom, it tends to work best for kids or close family members.

The house was great. Everything was super clean. And it in easy walking distance to the old downtown area.

The host, in another state, was very friendly and responsive! The location of the house was ideal for both Anastasia Island and historic downtown St. Augustine. The neighborhood was very nice. The house needed lots of TLC, however. The house itself and property were more rundown and in need of repair than the photos show. Renovations had been done and decor was a fun mid-century style yet drywall patches weren't painted, for instance. Supplies were a bit short in the kitchen and many dishes needed replacing. We did some light maintenance, clean up outside, and minor repairs when we arrived. If some basic interior work and outdoor landscaping was done, the house has lots of potential.
