Lovely peaceful setting...Lodge was very nice...a riverside path to village was really nice too...Hot tub and sauna very relaxing

Located in a quiet part of the village. Ideal for access to Ellan Forest trails. House well equipped for what we needed. Sauna and hot tub great after a days exercise. Instructions on how to work the tv and log fire settings were our only issue - but worked them out. Beds were comfortable, good power in shower. Lots of logs for the fire.

Well equipped home with great layout and plenty of space but upon arrival it was clear it wasnt the cleanest GNL I've stayed in and there's been a few so that was disappointing. Crumbs in cupboard, clumps of fluff and outside debris in en suite, coffee granules in coffee pot, L shaped couch needs cushions removed and hoovered and also pulled out and hoovered underneath. Bedrooms were perfect apart from Master suite mattress needs an upgrade. As does the tv which kept losing signal. Welcome pack was beautiful, the coffee and jam especially, are delicious. Hot tub, of course, epic however we had to make a chilly dash to grab our dogs that had got out of the garden I likely would recommend this property to others, however not sure we would stay again knowing other holiday let's have been immaculate. Facilities are good, location great for variety of activities. Good hot tub and sauna. However, the Double room at the front of the house had hair in the bed, mixed into the duvet and on the pillows. It looked like cat or dog hair and the bed hadn't been changed. The rug in the living room was hazardous and needs to be stuck down. The house in general was tired with the walls needing a touch up of paint, the conservatory was green with damp and the walls had cobwebs. The wooden floor boards were also separating which was a trip hazard and the lack of mats in the house for wet shoes from the hot tub. The mattresseses were uncomfortable. The radiator in the master bedroom made loud noises during the night, probably needs bleeding. A dressing gown had an unpleasant and suspicious brown stain! Sink in the ensuite is leaking at the bottom.
