Within a one hours drive to Queenstown. Te Anau and Invercargill, situated in a semi rural setting while only a 5 minutes walk to the supermarket, pub, fish & chip shop, cafes as well as a fly fishing retailer. Many guests use the cottage as a base for their Milford Sound adventure.

A truly lovely renovation. We wish we had more time here. Despite the little extra drive from Fjiordlands, it was well worth it for the peace and quiet and the very comfortable stay. Well stocked, cozy, and just a beautiful get away property.

Ida Cottage was perfect. Beautifully renovated house at the end of a cul de sac overlooking paddocks and sheep with views to the mountains. Walking distance to the supermarket and cafe. Duncan has thought of everything a guest might need - comfortable beds with high quality linen, masses of fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen. Fast WiFi, efficient A/C and heating. We loved it. Perfect for two people as a base to fish the surrounding rivers and explore Mavora Lakes.
