**Dock damaged during Hurricane Helene. This is reflected in the price** Heron Lane is a private and secluded home in the gated subdivision of Rye Key in Cedar Key, Florida. This vacation home boasts unbelievable water views and fantastic bird watching from the house! Consider renting a golf cart locally for travel to downtown and Dock Street shops and restaurants. Heron Lane is the home for you for peace and quiet, but still just a two mile golf cart ride to all that Cedar Key has to offer. The home itself features numerous windows overlooking the water and marsh, and let in bright light! Heron Lane is a two bedroom, two bathroom home. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom making it the perfect set up for two couples or a family! Each bedroom is fitted with a queen sized bed and its own private balcony area. The home's kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for all of your needs. This home features multiple spaces for outdoor relaxation! Porches are available on both the land and water side of the home. Private small balconies present off of each bedroom. Pets welcome! Limit of up to 2 dogs. Pet fee is $50 per pet per visit, 2 pet maximum. Note: there is no grill on property.

House was very clean with the exception of a few dirty glasses in the cupboards.Beds were very comfortable.Loved the artwork in the home. Home had a 70s vibeFurniture is semi comfortableProperty still in need of repair from hurricanes.* The dock is inaccessible and foliage is over grown and blocked the view you see in the pictures.* Could use a paint job on the exteriorWould be nice to have a screened in porch but was nice to sit out on the small deck until the bugs came out.It is semi secluded, there is a home right next to it however you do not notice since the home is facing the opposite direction.I usually stay closer to town so it was nice to see more of Cedar Key, the neighborhood then I hadn't seen before.

The house is an amazing location. It’s very quiet and secluded. The town has a lot of decent restaurants a great pizza place and a few places to have a drink. The cemetery park was good and the museum park had the best sunset. Pet friendly restaurants!

Positives are great location, beautiful views, grounds are great for dogs.Negatives, dirty dishes in cupboard, no coffee and what appears to be mold in lesser bedroom closet.

Small things would have made it a bit better. The bedroom pillows are quite thin. Fortunately, I brought my own. I appreciated that some premium channels were available, but the main TV is quite small, especially with prices for larger TVs now quite reasonable.
