Villa Hideaway – with heated pool, sauna and BBQ

We enjoyed our stay ! The outdoor kitchen, the pool and the cleaness of the house was amazing.

Charmingly renovated property that is very well located to explore the wineries of Istria and be in easy reach of Motovun, Buje, Groznjan, and Porec (Rovinj just under an hour on the motorway). Host provided some helpful hints for quality local restaurants and, if you are in the mood to cook yourself, would have suggested fishmonger and butcher. The pool is lovely to look at, however, unheated (known in advance). Strategically planted olives trees and shrubberies provide privacy yet allow for lovely view. Beds are comfortable, air-con in bedrooms. Might upgrade the towels, drip coffee maker and add clothes dryer) to "kick it up a notch". Quality Bosch oven, dishwasher and fridge. We learned to time our showers to allow for adequate quantity of hot water. Overall, good show at this price point.

We had a fabulous stay in such a beautiful, peaceful, modern and very cool cottage. It has been brilliantly designed with so many places to relax and unwind. Andreas was super helpful and checking in and out was seamless. The only downside was that we enjoyed it so much that we didn’t want to leave!

There were four of us and we loved the space we all had. The main house was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. One couple stayed there and my husband and I stayed in the addition which looked out onto the new pool which we used every day. The thing we loved most was the outdoor kitchen with built in fireplace for cooking. As there was a huge pile of wood , the four of us cooked there almost every night, getting fresh fish or other meat at the market. It was partially enclosed with ceiling fan and equipped with small refrigerator, stove top, sink, cabinet with dishes, pans etc. and looked out onto the pool. We did use the house kitchen too and enjoyed breakfasts at the picnic table outside . The grounds are nicely gardened so everywhere you choose to sit is beautiful. Andreas was very helpful with suggestions for towns to visit , places to eat and things to do. We really appreciated his attentiveness to us. I love going to places on the roads less travelled so I was thrilled to be in the countryside. The scenery is gorgeous and the people were very friendly. Our favorite towns to visit were Groznian and Revinj. Took a boat ride out to see the dolphins in Revinj and though we didn't see many that evening, the sunset out on the water made up for it. Andreas and Miry's place was near the Adriatic which gave us many opportunities to enjoy the water. We even drove into Piran in Slovenia to a beautiful beach where we swam in the sea. My husband was able to get in his runs there and the rest of us took lovely , scenic walks. All of us highly recommend this beautiful property and we would love to go back ourselves.
