The Marigny is a friendly and laid-back area, rated as one of the top 10 hippest neighborhoods in the country by The New Yorker. You will be in the middle of the Marigny/Bywater buzz, and about a 30-minute stroll (a very nice one) to the heart of the downtown French Quarter. But you don't need to go far to discover why this neighborhood is a hidden gem -- there is no shortage of bars and restaurants on St. Claude.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around is by foot, bike, taxi, or Uber. For cycling enthusiasts, New Orleans is a very bikeable city, and there are several rental and tour companies in close proximity. The Marigny and Bywater are both within walking distance, and other hotspots such as the French Quarter and Frenchmen and Magazine Street are a short car ride away.

It was great for a group with plenty of bathrooms and room layouts. The common space is great for a group to gather. The hosts were very responsive and followed up on any issues we had and fixed our small issue quickly. Great rental!

Arrived at this property to find it very clean and all the rooms were decorated so beautifully. The only thing was not all rooms had TVs. I would like to have had a tv in the king suite. The bathrooms were big and well equiped. The host was friendly and would check in on you to make sure we had all that you needed. The pool at the property was devine. This was the seller. My family and myself really enjoyed the privacy of the pool. It was like being home. Once you leave the place to go out everything was less than 10 to 20 miles away. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to many more visits there.

Everything about our experience at the property was 5 star! It’s a beautiful home, squeaky clean and exactly as photographed. We used the pool every day and someone came to perform a weekly cleaning while we were there. The beds are extremely comfortable and there’s lots of space for the whole family.. or several families. Communication was prompt and polite, the management company was attentive and the cleaners arrived exactly at 11am as we were checking out. The location was great 5-10 minute car rides or 20 minute walks to all kinds of fun stuff. There’s a food hall a couple of blocs from the property where you could try something new every day of the week if you wanted to. We loved our time in New Orleans and our stay at this property.

We really liked certain aspects in that it was very clean, very well stocked, very comfortable, very well decorated and perfect for a large group. Beds were all quite comfortable, towels were plentiful, and the kitchen was fabulous and had everything we would have needed had we wanted to cook in. The host was also responsive to our needs during our stay, trying to address the concerns we had during our stay. For, example, the pool heater was not working, so the host sent two technicians out within a week to try to get it repaired. However, my group was disappointed that the pool was not heated as described in the listing, and all of the toilets ran constantly, creating noise all night. Furthermore, the neighborhood, described as "up and coming", did not feel safe and we were advised by locals not to venture out alone during the day, or AT ALL after dusk, and to ensure all doors were locked at all times. A homeless man was camped out in his truck 20 feet from the front door. Our ride share drivers, knowing the area, felt compelled to stay and watch to ensure we were safely inside the rental when they dropped us off at night. So, for a group of 6 women traveling alone, we were a bit nervous in the neighborhood. It may be different if traveling with men.
