The Marigny is a friendly and laid-back area, rated as one of the top 10 hippest neighborhoods in the country by The New Yorker. You will be in the middle of the Marigny/Bywater buzz, and about a 30-minute stroll (a very nice one) to the heart of the downtown French Quarter. But you don't need to go far to discover why this neighborhood is a hidden gem -- there is no shortage of bars and restaurants on St. Claude.
All guests after booking will receive a list of recommendations including locals favorite spots, restaurants, and activities. We will provide detailed information and guides on the surrounding area to enhance your overall experience.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around is by foot, bike, taxi, or Uber. For cycling enthusiasts, New Orleans is a very bikeable city, and there are several rental and tour companies in close proximity. The Marigny and Bywater are both within walking distance, and other hotspots such as the French Quarter and Frenchmen and Magazine Street are a short car ride away.

Everything about our experience at the property was 5 star! It’s a beautiful home, squeaky clean and exactly as photographed. We used the pool every day and someone came to perform a weekly cleaning while we were there. The beds are extremely comfortable and there’s lots of space for the whole family.. or several families. Communication was prompt and polite, the management company was attentive and the cleaners arrived exactly at 11am as we were checking out. The location was great 5-10 minute car rides or 20 minute walks to all kinds of fun stuff. There’s a food hall a couple of blocs from the property where you could try something new every day of the week if you wanted to. We loved our time in New Orleans and our stay at this property.

Very nice accommodations. It was close to downtown. It was just a few minutes away. Grocery store was nearby. Clean, spacious, beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Host was welcoming. Rail post at entry are loose and tipped, we temporarily aligned them. Master bath toilet paper holder is loose. AC didn’t work downstairs. Upstairs was great. Couldn’t use grill at night, no outside lights, pool was cold, max temp was 75-79. Ice in fridge will only do crushed, one of the upstairs showers is leaking by door, floor is spongy and likely to cause major repair cost if not fixed soon. Would have liked a book with instructions for WiFi password as well as what the 3 keys in a dish in LR were for? Realize it was Mardi Gras but traffic shouldn’t have been a problem for repairmen to get to us. They didn’t come when you said they would either. The pool and air conditioning are 2 of the main amenities.
