Former rural mill deliciously restored quite wide with three bedrooms and all conditions of confort

We had a lovely holiday in Alvarenga. Manuel and his family were warm and welcoming and we loved attempting to chat round the pool in French and Spanish! It's a beautiful area with green eucalyptus hills and the Geo park provided some interesting spots to visit. We didn't explore much because we got lost on the mountain roads on the way to Alvarenga at the beginning of the week but were very glad to stay put and enjoy the immediate locality, although we did make it to Arouca - pretty - & the fossil museum, where the children enjoyed cracking slate. Alvarenga has several restaurants where they serve the local delicacy, steak or cod, & a supermarket, all within walking distance. The house itself was large, well-equipped and clean and had good wifi. Many thanks to Manuel for your hospitality.
