Welcome to "Our Happy Place" !!
This delightful 3-bedroom, 2-bath Cape is just a stone’s throw from the scenic Kennebec River, offering peaceful surroundings and glimpses of the water from the spacious, elevated deck overlooking a terraced backyard—perfect for relaxing mornings or unwinding in the evening.
Entering from the driveway-side deck, you’re welcomed into a lovely, updated, and fully equipped kitchen featuring newer appliances and granite countertops. From the kitchen, enjoy the lovely deck offering a propane grill and comfortable outdoor seating, making it easy to enjoy meals in the fresh air. The dining area flows seamlessly into the cozy living room, creating a warm and inviting space to gather.
The main-floor primary bedroom is conveniently located just off the kitchen and features a comfortable king-size bed. A newly remodeled full bathroom is only steps away, complete with a walk-in shower and in-unit washer and dryer for added convenience.

Bath, also known as the City of Ships, has a lovely walkable downtown complete with restaurants, pubs, retail shopping, a drug store, and weekly farmer’s market which is held at the city’s waterfront park. The home is in close proximity to the great Popham Beach, Fort Popham, Reid State Park, Morse Mountain, and other great hiking trails as well as ocean areas to explore. Bath is also within reasonable driving distance to Harpswell, Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset, Bar Harbor, Freeport and Portland. This home is an excellent home base for exploring coastal Maine, or would also make a fantastic long term rental for those who wish to stay a bit longer! Bath is conveniently located 10 minutes from Brunswick, take the train from there and travel the Maine coast. Brunswick is also home to Bowdoin College, which offers the Maine State Music Theatre, with superb productions, and museums to enjoy ! Great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. There’s an excellent coffee shop right up the road, but it isn’t a commercial area at all. Super cute cozy house.

This house was perfect for coming to spend time with family in Bath and the area. The house was in great shape and provided for all our needs. Our age ranged from 92 years old and four generations to 20 months old. We were very happy to share this space.

The House was exactly as noted in the VRBO Listing. Was clean and ready to go upon arrival. The House is an historical landmark...but has been updated and remodeled in some respects, but retains its roots if you look close enough. I recommend this property if you happen to be traveling to Bath.

The photos in the listing are a bit deceiving. There were 5 of us - a couple in their upper 50's, a couple in their 60's and sister 80 years old. The staircase is very very steep. The King Size bedroom is next to the kitchen with barn doors and no A/C. The photos show this room as a dining room. The back patio had no shade. The photos show a large orange umbrella. No cushions on outside wood seating. The photos make it look as though you can walk to water. Not so, it is private property. We did not find an area to walk to water the listing states 5 minute walk to water. Overall the house was comfortable and clean but bring toilet paper and coffee. For 5 people we only had two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and 3 caffeinated K-cups. Other K-cups we were not interested in. There is a drip machine and some coffee in freezer. We went and bought toilet paper and K-cups. There are a few things I was disappointed about but if I mentioned might be considered nit picking but I have stayed at better equipped VRBO's in the past.
