This is a true cottage in the woods with views of beautiful Cowan Lake. This completely updated cabin features 800 square feet of living space plenty to spread out and enjoy your surroundings. The cabin, which is perfectly nestled in a beautiful, peaceful area just seven minutes from the World Equestrian Center—an ideal location for anyone attending events there. Tom and Susan were helpful and communicative throughout our stay, which we greatly appreciated.The cabin itself was well stocked with essentials, including plenty of water bottles and linens. The décor was simple and the accommodations were comfortable overall. One consideration for future guests: the only bathroom is accessible through the main bedroom, and the second bedroom has limited privacy, which might not work for all groups.While we did notice a musty smell and found the cabin not quite as clean as expected, Tom and Susan were quick to respond and assured us these concerns would be addressed. Based on other reviews, it seems this may have been an isolated case.All in all, it's a cozy, well-located retreat with thoughtful hosts.

Tom reached out to us a few days before with the secure log in. Easy to be reached if necessary, we had no problems to need assistance. A cute black and white cat greeted us and kept us company during the our 4 day stay. When we walked into the cabin it was clean and ready for us. It was warm inside but the wall unit cooled it down super quickly. It was easy to use as well They have a desk in the living room with a note book to sign or tell them of your stay. The kitchen was VERY WELL stocked with all the things you need to use to cook. That was perfect a as we wanted to cook more than eat out. Watch out for leaving food on the counter, bugs show up. We learned that with some donuts lol lol The cabin also has lots i the cleaning supplies. The backroom has a TV and streaming services with a very nice couch that was comfy. They also have a Murphy bed that was comfortable. The one bathroom was an adjustment for our family of 4. We got schedule down that worked out. They have nice towels available. Bathroom supplies as well. The soft water through is off at first so just beware if you aren't used to it. We realized on your last day that they had a trail to the lake. Bummer. We drove up to the lake which was 5 mins around to get corner. My kids had a blast "searching" for clams that we returned after we found them. The deck grill was dirty. The rain gutters were full and tons of spider webs so we cleaned up to sit outside. We will be back!

We couldnt have picked a better time. Secadas everywhere made you really feel you were having a nature escape. With the lake close by and lots to do you will never want to leave. Dont be afraid of nature. Remember its there home and you are the visitor.

The pictures don't do this cozy cabin justice. Perfect for my husband and I to get away for the weekend. Everything was clean and it was very well stocked. Plenty of blankets for a chilly weekend. High recommend. Owners were easy to communicate with mad very helpful when needed.

We arrived late and were happy to be met with clean sheets on the beds and clean overall. Cleanliness is most important to my wife and she had no complaints, which is rare in that regard. It has a nice, open, large room with a couch and TV for the boys. We enjoyed our stay. The owner is super accessible. I would definitely use it again.

This property has good proximity to hiking destinations, food, gas and basic retail. However when you're at the cabin you'd never guess that. It's so quiet and secluded. The deck and rear room were particulary lovely especially if you have interest in birds. We didn't use so much of what we brought because so much was supplied for us. Very homey feel. Quite comfortable stay.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay! My father and I booked this cozy cabin to watch the solar eclipse. Tom and Susan were informative, clear in giving directions, and took communication to the next level. The cabin was so cozy it felt like home. The beds were firm and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the porch allowed us to relax at the end of the days, and the lake near by provided lots of entertainment. Everything was cutely decorated and gave the place some uniqueness. The area was quiet and the wildlife was neat. I’ve never seen a red headed woodpecker before this trip. It was definitely a trip to remember. Thank you for letting us rent this little piece of peace!
