About this house rental
Located high in the hills of Manuel Antonio, The Rainforest Estate offers luxury living in a jungle setting. The house features over 6,000 sq feet of living space and a full range of modern amenities. The mountain and ocean views are breathtaking, and fabulous sunsets are a daily highlight.
Among the many highlights of the home are an expansive, fully equipped kitchen and family room that opens to a large swimming pool with floor to ceiling sliding doors, which allow constant ocean breezes to pass through the home year round. The villa is air-conditioned throughout and features a billiard table, an outdoor bar and BBQ area and wireless internet among its amenities. The 6 bedroom Rainforest Estate is an ideal home in which to entertain. Full concierge service is included. Maid service is every other day, excepting Sundays and holidays.
The lower level features 2 king bedrooms with ensuite bath, and a common living area with refrigerator and kitchenette. A private balcony looks out onto the surrounding rainforest.
The master bedroom and ensuite bathroom is located on the main floor and has its own access to the ocean view terrace. Two upstairs bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, share a common lounge area that can be converted into a 6th bedroom perfect for families or groups with kids, the space features 4 sets of bunk beds and a double sleeper sofa.
Our house can accommodate up to 22* guests.
The Rainforest Estate is conveniently located 10 minutes drive the the Manuel Antonio National Park and its beautiful beaches, the world class Marina Pez Vela is located 8 minutes apart. A vast array of great restaurants are in just a 5 minutes drive from our home.
*After 14 guests there is $50 fee per person, per night.
AWD or 4WD vehicle is recommended to access the property.
House is sourced with private well water. Guests are suggested to bring bottled water.

We had great time at the villa! The kitchen was stocked, the pools was incredible, the concierge was very responsive and helpful and we even got a chef to cook to us on evening. The hire is incredible.

Our stay at this villa in Costa Rica was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself is beautifully maintained—spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel both comfortable and immersed in the natural surroundings.The location truly couldn’t be better. We were just minutes away from amazing restaurants, cafes, and a wide variety of activities, making it easy to explore and enjoy everything the area has to offer. It struck the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.One of the most unforgettable parts of our stay was the daily visits from wildlife—monkeys and sloths right at the house! It felt like a private nature experience that made our trip even more special.The host went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. From helping us book activities to recommending fantastic restaurants, their attentiveness and care made a huge difference. Every detail was handled with thoughtfulness and professionalism.We truly couldn’t have asked for a better villa or location. This was a perfect stay in every way, and we would absolutely return.

The check-in process was smooth and Jorge was very helpful. The house itself is beautiful, and spacious — perfect for our family of 9. However, there are a few things future guests should know. The driveway is extremely steep and not accurately described in the listing — a 4x4 vehicle is absolutely necessary. The kitchen is dated but functional. One major surprise was that you cannot flush toilet paper, which was not mentioned in the listing — very off-putting.The primary bathroom’s jacuzzi tub didn’t work properly, and the shower is located outdoors. Water pressure was low, and hot water ran out quickly. Despite the home’s size, there’s only one small TV for the entire house.The biggest issue was that the water shut off completely on our third night. We notified the concierge at 10 PM, but no emergency help was provided. With no running water, our group couldn’t use the restroom or wash up until after 8 AM the next day. We later found out the cause was a major break in their plumbing system — a pipe on the property had burst and was leaking heavily. This caused distress for our elderly mother and forced us to check out a day early. I believe Jorge did his best, but the host, Hazel, was dismissive, unhelpful, and blamed external factors — which were not the cause.This home has great potential, but the plumbing failure and poor emergency response made for a frustrating and disappointing end to our stay. Beautiful house, but poorly managed.
