About this house rental
*Please note that VRBO is having an issue on their website showing our property has a pool but we DO NOT HAVE A POOL and have contacted VRBO about this issue multiple times*. Spacious home in Escalante, Utah. Central to various hikes in Grand Staircase monument, Bryce Canyon and other nearby National Parks. We also encourage you to check out the less well known hikes in areas of Boulder that are a short drive- the adventures are endless! Great views to enjoy from the four patios in the evening in this quiet neighborhood.
We just completed remodeling this pioneer home with brand new paint and flooring throughout! It is a home that has been in our family for 6 generations since it was built in 1905. We love to hike the nearby trails and appreciate your stay as the funds are going to restoring the home and to keeping it family owned. We have also recently purchased a brand new game table for guests to enjoy while in the home with Foosball, pool and air hockey! Lots of other board games and movies come ready. We hope you enjoy your stay!
The home has been updated with central air and heating, as well as a washer and dryer for your convenience. We do have a fridge, but please note there is no dishwasher or ice maker.

We loved our stay! The house was a beautiful piece of history, in a perfect location and well equipped! What an amazing place to be!

House accommodated a family of 5 comfortably. The house has 1 bathroom but hot water heater worked amazing enough for all of us to get a hot shower after a long day of hiking. Sharing a bathroom was challenging but we made it work. We love the fact the house was centrally located to 3 National parks capital reef, escalante and bryce canyon. The longest drive was about an hour an a half to capital reef but the drive there was amazing. Hwy 12 is beautiful and its worth the drive. The house provided everything we needed. I would stay there again.

The house is a pretty good deal for what it is, and we had an okay stay overall. However, we had a safety issue on the last day. My husband stepped on a raised bump in the old wood floor outside the bathroom and injured the arch of his foot. It has been three days and it still hurts him to walk. We hate to leave a neutral review because the value is good, but the floor is a genuine hazard. If you stay here, please be extremely careful or wear shoes inside until the floors are repaired
