About this house rental

YOUR ST. SIMONS VACATION HOME
419 Beach Drive is a very spacious and nostalgic 4+ bedroom, 3-bathroom St. Simons vacation rental where beach days start early, dinners never end, and the house expands in all the right directions. You’re just 0.1 miles from the island’s widest stretch of sandy beach and a very short stroll to the island’s most popular culinary spots. Need another towel, another drink, or just another breath? You’re close enough to jog home barefoot without making a scene.

From the outside, it’s gently hidden behind a stucco wall surrounding a large newly-paved courtyard with several lounging areas. Step inside, and it opens like a beach novel filled with eccentric characters—unexpected, layered, a little unconventional, but somehow it all works. Two lovely dining areas, an inviting den with ample seating, a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and a large laundry room. There’s a king suite on each level with additional queen and king bedrooms upstairs. Accessible through the upstairs king suite lies a daybed den with desk as well as an additional lovely room with two twin beds. Great setup for young families.

At the center of this beach house? A 12-seat dining table that could’ve been cut from a single tree. It anchors the home the way every great gathering spot should—big enough for seafood feasts, birthday breakfasts, and the kind of card games that last until sunrise. The living room is equally persuasive: soft sofas, a bold blue fireplace, and a game shelf that’s seen legends made, dethroned, and resurrected—all in one night.

This is a house built for people who know how to vacation. Every room has creative energy and casual comfort. The outside spaces were crafted to extend the living area, making it a great choice for groups where individuals can get some down-time spots when desired.

We stayed here for a work trip. It’s a great house with plenty of room. The kitchen is even more spacious than it looks in the pictures. It was very clean and comfy. The outdoor area is also nice. It is about a 5 minute walk from the beach and about 10 minute walk from restaurants. I highly recommend staying at this house.

We loved everything about this property: from the outdoor entry with plenty of seating to the expansive indoor areas with so many personal touches that made it feel like home. There was more than enough space for our group and we loved being able to spread out. The kitchen was awesome, the couches were so comfy, and the dining table was impressively huge! Such a great location and just a short stroll to the beach.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in the house 6/14 - 6/21/25.There were a lot of positives about the house (clean, space for the family to gather both indoors and out)and overall my family of 8 adults enjoyed the stay. However, there are a few things that I want to note so that others will know what to expect. The biggest of all is that the 3rd bathroom, with the large tub centered in it, does not really function as a full bath since there is no way to take a shower in it. I had assumed that it was big enough to use the showerhead without making a mess of the bathroom, however that was not the case - so 8 of us shared 2 showers. As other have commented, the kitchen wear leaves a lot to be desired. There were 3 glass wine glasses (no two the same) and maybe 4 plastics ones that had been through the wash so many times they were cracked and cloudy. All of the drinking "glasses" were plastic, cracked and cloudy. There were ~3 mismatched, standard size coffee cups and then 6-8 apparently hand made (not necessarily by a professional) tiny coffee mugs. We had to use plastic glasses because the Keurig would overflow most of the "coffee mugs". All of the plates were plastics and in much better shape than the "glasses" but still plastic and not microwavable. There was also a strong and persistent sewer gas smell that seemed to come out of the fireplace in the downstairs master bedroom. It definitely got stronger when everybody was just getting going in the morning or returning from the beach and using the facilities. It would then fade until the next rush.I let the rental company know of all these concerns before we left. They said they would address them ASAP. I am hoping that they did! I did not raise them during the stay because we did not really want workers in the house while we were there. I have to say that a $100 - $200 spent on better quality, matching dish wear would go along way to making the house feel less like ruffing it and more like home.
