About this house rental
Welcome to our family home on Higgins Lake, with 100 feet of private sandy lakefront, crystal-clear water, and beautiful views from nearly every part of the house.
The sandy, shallow shoreline is one of our favorite things about the property. The water remains around knee-deep with a white sand bottom for roughly 300 feet before gradually dropping into deeper water, making it wonderful for swimming and families. A private dock extends 80 feet into the lake.
The 3,900-square-foot Big House sleeps up to 13 and combines the character of a classic Higgins Lake lodge with plenty of space for family and friends. The home features a warm knotty-pine interior, a large great room, two glassed-in porches, a renovated and fully equipped kitchen, and large picture windows running the length of the house with expansive views across the lake.
Built by a well-known local Swedish craftsman, the house has beautiful carpentry and details throughout. Outside, the deck overlooks the lake and is a favorite place for morning coffee, family dinners, and watching the sunset over the water.
This is our family home, not a full-time rental, and we make it available for a limited number of weeks each summer and early fall. We hope you'll enjoy Higgins Lake and the house as much as our family does.

We have stayed here a few years now and look forward to coming back next year. The house is in great condition and is well stocked with kitchen essentials. The views of the lake are unbeatable. The loft room is perfect for our growing family. The host is prompt in responding to any questions. We love this house and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice week at the lake.

The lake views are stunning. The home offers lots of gathering spaces and the rooms are large. Everyone commented in the comfortable beds. The kitchen is well stocked with any supplies you need and tons of spices. The lake is shallow, clean and has a great sandy bottom. I recommend picking up some firewood on your way. Then sit back and relax. Your hosts are around and helpful. Kip even brought us gas when we ran out on our pontoon! I don’t recommend doing that! But it shows how willing they are to make sure your stay is great.

Stunning property in a perfect location. Hosted our family wonderfully for my grandparents 70th anniversary get away. We hope to stay again next summer!

We had 10 adults and two children (under 3) and this property checked all our boxes for space, privacy, access to 'safe' swimming water and boat access. Truly a perfect spot for a large group that wants to hang together.
