About this house rental
Welcome to MeeMaw`s Maison! Our charming Cajun country cottage in Abbeville, LA, just minutes from Youngsville. Experience the peaceful serenity of the countryside, breathe the fresh air, and unwind on the front porch. This quaint 3BR/2BA retreat offers fast WiFi, TVs for streaming, and ample parking. Perfect for families or friends seeking a relaxing getaway. Bring your fold out chairs & enjoy stunning sunsets & a true taste of southern hospitality. Book now for a cozy, memorable stay!
As you step inside, you’ll enter the spacious kitchen and dining area, perfect for cooking and gathering. The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep easy, while the large dining table is ideal for enjoying those home-cooked meals. Unwind in the cozy living area with three comfy couches and a large TV, perfect for streaming your favorite shows. The house features three bedrooms: two with king beds and one with two bunk beds. Outside, enjoy a view of the pond, pick pecans and limes in season, and relax by the fire pit or watch the sunset from the back patio. Cornhole and board games offer fun for all ages!
Guests will have full access and use of the unit 24 hours a day. You can come and go as you like and there`s an electronic lock, so there are no keys to keep up with! You will have the place to yourself which allows you more privacy and convenience.
As of June 2026 there is a metal shop on the property that is now a vehicle detailing shop. Please note that occasionally there will be vehicles going on and off the property to this place of business. A fence is planned to be installed to help with seperation. Please see reference photo in the listing.

1. Quiet Hours of 10pm - 8am
2. MUST BE age 21 or older to book.
3. Please No indoor smoking of vape, cigarettes, or illegal drugs.
4. No parties or events (If guest breaks house rules and throws a party or event, guest will be liable and have to pay a mandatory extra $35 dollars per person over the allowed amount of people & asked to vacate premises.)
5. Late checkouts must be approved. If not approved:
After one hour late checkout you will be responsible for a $50 mandatory unauthorized fee
After two hour late checkout you will be responsible for that whole day`s base rate without discounts (this does not award you access to the property for the day, this is just a fee.)
If smell of odor of smoke indoors or caught smoking indoors you will be responsible for a $150 fee (this is out of respect of my home and of my next guest).
We ask that all guests really just respect our home like its your own. Have a great trip!
BUNK BED SAFETY WARNINGS: There are certain risks associated with using a bunk bed and bunk bed ladder, and guests agree that use is at your own risk. Property owner assumes no responsibility for personal loss, injury, or illness of any kind which may result from use of the bunk bed and ladder. The owners are not liable for any accidents occurring. Parents with children should be especially cautioned regarding ladder use and agree to accept all responsibility for minors. While not an exhaustive list of precautions, guests agree to follow these industry standards: 1) Use of top bunk is limited to occupants 6 years or older; 2) Use of top bunk is limited to 1 occupant and a maximum 175 lb weight; 3) No jumping or other horseplay on or around the bed; 4) Always use ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.
I give permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen my identity and check criminal databases to confirm my reservation. Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Please check your spam inbox for this email and contact the property manager if you have any questions.

We enjoyed our stay at MeeMaw's. Very clean and tidy. We only had one issue while we were there and it was fixed right away. They were there in less than 10 minutes. We would definitely stay there again.

The house was cozy, and worked well for us. It is situated right off of a busy highway, so there is a lot of road noise. We had some issues with the plumbing while we were there, the property manager did respond quickly, but the owner did not come by promptly to assess the problem. My husband ended up fixing it himself. Overall we were satisfied with our stay & would stay again.
