About this country house rental
In the heart of the Périgord Noir, a stone's throw from Lascaux, in a small village crisscrossed by hiking trails, our property "Le Jardin d'Eden" is made up of 6 charming gîtes for 2 to 8 people (maximum capacity of 23 people) .
Le Four, La Bergerie and Le Fournil are located in a beautiful half-timbered stone house, divided into 3 apartments.
La Bergerie, the great favorite of our guests, occupies the lower left of this beautiful country house.
Completely renovated (the kitchen and the bathroom are new), it is a small cocoon, ideal for a couple looking for romance or for a family with a child.
The Sheepfold has a large living room with fully equipped kitchen, living room with insert fireplace, a completely redone bathroom and a beautiful triple bedroom (1 double bed 140cm and 1 single bed 90cm).
A big asset in summer thanks to its very thick stone walls (more than a meter wide), it retains a pleasant freshness making it easier to withstand hot weather (natural air conditioning ...)!
The Sheepfold has a private exterior with garden furniture, deckchairs, parasol and barbecue. Our guests enjoy relaxing on the deckchairs on its shaded and sunny terrace, facing south!
You have access to the heated swimming pool between 26 ° C and 29 ° C (from mid-April to the end of September, depending on the weather) and the landscaped park.
Ideally located for exploring the Dordogne, all the main sites are a few minutes from our lodgings (Vézère and Dordogne valley, Lascaux IV caves a few minutes, Montignac, Sarlat…).

Located in a side valley to the Vezère, the cottage is situated directly next to the very picturesque tiny Village of Valojoulx.
The region does not require further recommendation...
The cottage itself is built against the rock shelter flanking the village, as is typical for the region. We found it super-clean, equipped for all practical needs and very well prepared for our visit. The hosts are very attentive and helpful if questions arise. The place is great for a private, quiet time, and the limited window size that comes with age and type of building, is compensated for by the rustic charm of natural stone walls, authenticity and a very well-working fireplace. We loved our time here.

I had a wonderful stay. The property is very comfortable and well-appointed. The location is excellent. Valojouix is a very small, quaint village, that is very friendly and well-located (nearby shopping such as Intermarche, pharmacy, etc.). There is good parking available. I did a lot of walking and it was a good place to start for that. I also was able to plan several day trips to see the prehistoric sites as well as a number of beautiful villages not that far away. You have many options and choices at your fingertips whether you want to go to a large city like Bordeaux or visit some of the smaller villages. The hosts were accessible very helpful (even helped with my IT problems). I will definitely come back if my plans include this part of France again.

Based in a cute little French village (Valojoulx), Le Jardin d'Eden was a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. We loved the garden, with plenty of activities like football and table tennis. The pool was a nice warm temperature, clean, well maintained and in a very peaceful setting, with lots of sun loungers. We stayed in Le Chalet - a gorgeous apartment with outside seating, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. This was our second stay at Jardin d'Eden and we would go back again!
