The location is excellent, central to everything within Sea Pines and an easy bike ride to amenities. We barely used our car once we arrived other than leaving the plantation. Make sure to take advantage of the bike rental credit because bikes are the best way to get around.The setting is beautiful. The house backs onto a small lake where we regularly saw alligators lounging nearby. Crews come daily and keep the grounds spotless and beautiful. The pool area was well maintained, although it is not heated.The house itself is comfortable and well stocked. Some areas are older and still fairly original, but there have been updates over time. The kitchen had everything we needed including dishes, cookware, and appliances. The laminate flooring is newer. The guest bathroom appears brand new. Two of the three TVs are smart TVs. There were also beach chairs, games, comfy furniture, and a nice deck setup.Overall cleanliness at first glance was good, the cleaning crew does a quick turnover clean between guests. However, the property definitely needs a deeper cleaning in the areas people don’t usually look. Under the beds was very dusty, the blinds and window sills were dusty, the guest bathtub had a scum ring and dirt build-up, and the master toilet had a ring at the water line that needs scrubbing. The master shower glass also has heavy hard water staining. None of these issues ruined our stay, but an occasional deep clean would make a big difference.Overall we’d rate this property 4 stars. Great location, beautiful setting, and a very enjoyable stay with just a few cleaning details needing attention.

Location was good.

The unit needs some renovations. The second step leading into the unit is sinking. Also the entryway has sinking boards. The worst part is the entry area leading into the master bath. That area is sinking so bad that it feels like you are going to crash through. There are some serious upgrades needed. Very outdated.
