About this house rental
This cosy and modern four bedroom, two bathroom home boasts comfort and style and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Suitably named, we hope you will get to experience the King Parrots that like to visit the back decking area and surrounding trees. A lovely sight to see!
In Winter, head to the snow and spend a fun filled day skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing with the kids. Come home and hang up the wet weather gear in Drying Room Onsite.
Go for a bush walk or simply keep cosy indoors, relaxing on the couch by the crackling of the wood fire reading a book or watching a movie.
For that real country feel, take the kids and toast some marshmallows outside by the designated fire pit *conditions apply
All bedrooms have heating as well as a wood fire and split system in the main living area
In Summer, head out to one of the local swimming holes for a splash around, or up to Mt Buller for some mountain bike riding run. Mirimbah Park is only a couple of minutes away so pack a picnic, pack your bathers and a fishing rod and enjoy the relaxing setting right on the banks of the Delatite River.
Cook up a storm in the modern fully equipped kitchen, on sit on the deck while the BBQ sizzles away. Then gather together around the dinner table sharing the stories and making memories of the day’s events.
Suitable for a couple of families, King Parrot Retreat is really a home away from home. A great base to set off from to explore what the High Country Mountains, Rivers and Lakes have to offer. Or simply stay at home, relax & enjoy the natural peace and watch the sunsets from the verandah and stargaze into the clearest of night skies.
NB: King Parrot Retreat is located next door to Blackwood Chalet. The property layouts mirror image each other (besides a couple of small differences) so if you have a larger group booking (up to 20 guests) then booking both properties this is a great option.

I stayed here with my family, the house is split into three levels which means everyone can have their own space, and meet in the middle shared space. We were here in August while there was a huge blizzard at Mt Buller. It was so warm and comfortable that you wouldn't have known what it was like outside. The place was very clean and had all the essentials plus more!

We had a great time away with friends at the King Parrot Retreat. The property manager was responsive and helpful. The house could do with some minor amenity upgrades but overall a lovely home in tranquil surroundings and just a short drive to the base of Mt Buller.

Loved the house so much, was so comfortable and clean! The shower pressure was not great but that is the only negative, wonderful host and great detail and communication!

Everythigh is great. but there is no dishwasher detergent or tablet for dish washing. we have to go shopping to buy all washing detergent and table. the rubbish bin is full and we have to take all the rubbish back to our house. we're not looking to come back this property for our next stay.
