Old world charm, comfort and gorgeous views

Beautiful old world hotel. Fabulous views. Lovely gardens and pool. Great terrace for drinks / meals. Reception staff were great, helpful and v friendly.

Only complaint was service in the restaurant at breakfast - there were maybe five tables of guests (so not busy) and at least that number of waiters. But it took 30 minutes to get a coffee!

Possibly the best hotel we've ever stayed in

Quite possibly the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The staff, surroundings and general vibe of the hotel were second to none. The hotel is beautiful and every corner you turn you can't help but take a photograph. One our next trip to Mexico, we'll be coming back to Tepoztlan just for this hotel!

Some features of the room are a little dated, but even then, they still suit the decor and vibe of the room.

Impeccable staff, elegant ambience, a perfect experience

The staff are impeccable. Meals delectably elegant. Views are stunning. They offer ample towels. Water pressure is perfect and hot water abundant. But the staff is why this place is so wonderful - without their diligence and passion for their customer service, no business can succeed and these owners are so fortunate to have exceptional people working for them (I hope that translates to good careers with benefits and room for advancement, because they deserve to be treated and compensated generously) I cannot wait to come back with another tour group. My guests were so impressed, days later, they are Still talking about it. Thank you!!

A very serene and beautiful getaway.

What a beautiful place. I love everything about the traditional Mexican interior, but even more amazing is the garden and the view. I stayed here for the second time and will come again for sure.

This hotel sits above the town. The views are absolutely impeccable and it’s only a one block walk downhill to the plaza/center of town. The grounds are lovely. The pool is heated. The included breakfast was top-notch.

Posada del Tepozteco is a top class accommodation with exemplary service!

This was truly a magical place. Full of comfortable spots to relax on the grounds, lovely gardens, a beautiful room with a view of the pool, the town of Tepoztlan, and mountains all around. At night, the twinkling lights of Mexico City can be seen. The bed was so comfortable, a great jacuzzi tub amd shower. The breakfast was very good with a choice of included items. We ate dinner and lunch here as well on a couple of the days The staff here truly understand service and are always so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return!

A lovely break from Mexico City in the mountains.

Beautiful hotel with art and sculptures. Staff very helpful. When we complained about the noise in room 8, we were moved to another room the very next morning. Staff were great. The location is great too. Can walk into the main town easily. Food delicious. And the temaczal is wonderful. Pool lovely, we had it to ourselves as we were off-season.

we arrived early. There was no welcome drink and we felt a bit abandoned, not really knowing what to do with ourselves. We ordered some drinks and played pool and the room was ready 4 hours later, at exactly 3pm which is exactly the check in time We wondered if it couldn't have been ready earlier for us. It wasn't busy in the hotel. Room 8 was too noisy - it is directly next to the kitchen and laundry, and the staff sit underneath the terrace. We were moved to a smaller, quieter room, and also the church bells weren't so noisy all night in room 5. The pool table which we enjoyed when we arrived disappeared - that was a pity.

Beautiful location and top quality hotel - the perfect place to relax

The hotel has an absolutely beautiful location on the hillside in Tzepotlan. Total joy to wake up to that view everyday! The breakfast was really delicious - good range of options and even more choice to go a la carte. We had the best few days here relaxing. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Fabulous perch to see Tepo and the pyramid

Spectacular location with a perfect view of the zona arquilogico. Lovely colonial facility. Did a Temascal on site that was lovely. The pool and patio seating spectacular. Definitely a great choice for a side trip from Mexico City.

Bathrooms need upgrades. We didn't have hot water!
