The property is peaceful, and private, with the best views in Kaikoura. We have five acres of gardens for you to explore, from fruit orchards to sculpted native bush. We are located on the coast of Mangamaunu and within walking distance from world-renowned surf breaks. Relax and recharge at one of the most stunning and special locations in New Zealand.
Surfwatch House is one of three guest suites available on the property. The space has been architecturally designed, with gorgeous interiors and mid-century furniture. The newly renovated accommodation will be the perfect destination for your upcoming holiday.
The house includes two bedrooms with king-size beds, a spacious lounge with a fireplace, a large kitchen, and a gorgeous bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen overlooks the gardens and ocean and is supplied with a kettle, toaster, gas stove top, oven and large fridge. Sliding doors open out to the gardens and deck, and a BBQ.
Please note - the second bedroom in Surfwatch House can be made up as a king-size bed, or two king singles. Please let us know before your stay which you would prefer, and we will make it up to suit your needs.
The property is located 10 minutes north of Kaikoura, a beautiful beach town known for whale watching, fishing, surfing, and cycling trails. Mangamaunu Beach is a 2-minute walk down the driveway, perfect for a morning stroll, swimming, or fishing off the beach. The beach is home to many native New Zealand birds and also the New Zealand fur seals.
Come and indulge yourself in the beautiful scenery the Kaikoura coast has to offer, from the snowy Alps to the peaceful ocean. Book one of the most memorable and special holidays now.
