About this apartment rental
Our main goal is to provide an adults-only, tranquil and unique Caribbean-Mexican experience. Guests can stay in one of our six private apartments to get away from the hustle-bustle of downtown and everyday life, and to relax and savor the lovely island. The peaceful ambience features a heated salt-water pool with waterfalls, beach chairs and umbrellas, tropical gardens and an exquisite palapa. Isla Retreats is located five minutes from downtown and Playa Norte. A tropical oasis awaits you!
There are 6 private villas at Isla Retreats that sleep 2 people each. All are upscale, tastefully decorated, and fully furnished with everything you will need for your stay. All villas have smart TVs and WiFi Internet. We provide beach towels and bath towels, high quality linens, a hair dryer, coffee, sugar, creamer and purified water, and iron/ironing board for your use. There is an in-room safe. Maid service (daily or as requested) is available at no extra charge - tips are much appreciated! There is on-site staff available to accommodate our guests in setting up golf cart rentals and other activities.
Villa #4 is a one bedroom unit, similar to a hotel room, with a king size bed and a full, private bathroom. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. It is located on the ground floor, just steps away from the pool!
Villa #4 can also be rented out along with Villa #3 to make a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa. When rented separately, there are a set of double doors between the villas that are both locked for security at privacy.
Our saltwater pool is only for guests staying at Isla Retreats. To keep the grounds quiet, safe and private, we do not allow use of the pool by people who are not staying at Isla Retreats. You can enjoy the sounds of the waterfall while sitting by the pool or under the palapa. The palapa and pool area are perfect for coffee and fresh orange juice in the morning, and cocktails in the evenings - or anytime!

Villa #1 is a one bedroom unit on the ground floor with a king size bed, one bathroom, a living room, dining area and a full kitchen. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, microwave, 4-burner cooktop and oven, blender, coffeepot, toaster - everything you need to make this your home away from home experience. There is air conditioning in each room, all modern stainless steel appliances, marble counter tops and marble floors, and cable TV. The rate per night for 2 people is $185 USD plus tax.
Villa #2 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed and a full bathroom. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. There is a lock-out door to Villa #1.
Villa #3 is a mirror image of Villa #1.
Villa #4 is a mirror image of Villa #2.
Villa #1 can be rented along with Villa #2 as a two bedroom unit or individually. Villa #3 can be rented along with Villa #4 as a two bedroom unit or individually.
Villa #5 is located on the second floor, at the back of the complex, overlooking Salina Chica. There is a king size bed, a kitchen, that includes a refrigerator, 2-burner cooktop, oven, microwave, coffeepot and toaster. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and bird watching on the balcony looking over Salina Chica. Villa #5 also has a private roof top patio with a panoramic view of the island.
Villa #6 is also located on the second floor. This villa has a king size bed and a full kitchen that includes a full size refrigerator, 4-burner cooktop and oven, microwave, blender, coffeepot and toaster. Villa #6 has a view of the grounds and pool and has two private patios on either side of the villa.
Per Mexican law, smoking is not allowed on the property, but we have a smoking area next door.

We loved our stay here. Room was very clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The bed was wonderful. The property is so beautiful and the pool was very nice and always very clean. Very central location. We loved that there is a brewery/restaurant right across the street and the food there is amazing! We highly recommend this place and we will stay here again when we come back to the island.

This place is amazing. Our room was well designes and very comfortable. I really loved the bathroom! The room has plenty of drinking water, a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The pool is really clean and very comfortable water temp. The staff are the best part. Everyone at Isla Retreats is so wonderful. The cleaning staff is exceptional! I am so sad I am allergic to cats because I really wanted to pet them! Katy is an amazing host, she even facilitated us having a golf cart delivered to the retreat. Amazing place!

We recently stayed at Katy’s Place through Isla Retreats, and once again, it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we could tell how much care and thought goes into creating a relaxing and comfortable experience for guests. The space was absolutely spotless, and the attention to detail made the stay feel really special.From the way the towels were neatly and beautifully folded, to the complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us, and even the high-quality coffee provided in the room—everything was done with care. These thoughtful touches truly elevated the experience and made us feel instantly welcomed.The property itself is stunning. The grounds are immaculately kept and full of lush greenery, which added to the peaceful, tropical vibe. The pool was perfectly clean and incredibly inviting—an ideal place to cool off and unwind after exploring the island.Katy was a fantastic host from start to finish. She was quick to respond to every message, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Her communication was warm, clear, and incredibly helpful.This was actually our second time staying at one of Katy’s properties, and each time has been nothing short of wonderful. We feel completely confident booking with her and know that every stay will be clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful little details that make a big difference.
