Mountain Vibes is one side of Hidden Pond Lodge, a ranch-style duplex on more than two peaceful acres overlooking a small pond. The pond provides a beautiful view but is not accessible.
The home has been continuously improved over the years with updated furniture, newer mattresses, expanded kitchen supplies, and other upgrades based on guest feedback.
Inspired by the mountains of North Carolina, Mountain Vibes features warm, rustic décor that reflects the charm of a cozy mountain cabin. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, budget-friendly place that feels like home, you'll fit right in. If you're expecting a luxury resort or brand-new designer home, this probably isn't the best match.
The Road:
The final quarter mile to the property is a private dirt and gravel road. It's easily traveled by most cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. Guests with very low sports cars or lowered vehicles may prefer to use extra caution.

• 7 minutes to Downtown Wendell
• 9 minutes to Knightdale
• 20 minutes to Downtown Raleigh

The location was perfect. It did feel very mountainy. My best friend and I stayed here with my mom for a girls weekend. The bedrooms were perfect. It had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing time. It was clean and comfortable. We had an issue with some water on the floor, thinking it was a toilet leak. Our concerns were addressed right away. We will be staying again for our next girls weekend!! Very quiet!!

I would stay in this unit again. We had a couple problems that were remedied quickly. This is an old place that’s been remodeled. The bedrooms are up about 6 stairs, the living area is in the lower level. It has what’s needed for most people. I will say, it’s not great for the elderly. Neither the shower nor bath have a grab bar and the surfaces are slippery. That would be a great upgrade. It is on a dirt road, and there’s quite a bit of washout along the sides of the road. It’s navigable with care. Could use some attention. That said - it’s QUIET. Loved that about the place. No street noise at all. There was a deer out back.It’s just a couple minutes to restaurants and the grocery - in town, but feels like the country. The beds were comfortable. The living room furniture was ok, but older.The rental company took a 300 deposit and we are a week out now and it’s not been returned yet.

The access to this property was very poor, down a narrow dirt road with major ruts and dips. One morning I was blocked in by tree trimming trucks so had to drive off the road to get by.
The cleaning fees were way too high.
