Newly Renovated Large Modern Home in Center of San Juan 337

We really enjoyed our week in this San Juan home. Its a great location with easy access to places. We rented two cars four our extended family of 7. The house was very clean and so much attention to detail and design, we were very impressed. The owner clearly cares about welcoming guests into the home. The design is modern, other than some aspects of the kitchen like the fridge and counters but that didn't matter to us. The TVs weren't reliable so that's something to be aware of. The owner gave us helpful recommendations for the area when we asked specific questions. Like we didn't realize that even in the winter months when the ocean is still warm, many of the beaches near San Juan aren't safe for swimming due to the riptide. So he advised us to try Playa Vacia Talega and it was perfect for safe swimming. He also recommended Hipi Cache, a restaurant not far from the beach and it was amazing! Great food, open space, many locals, very loud but a perfect spot to enjoy local cuisine after a day at the beach. The neighborhood was safe, don't let the bars concern you too much, it's a regular thing in San Juan. There were people out walking at night, holiday decorations, nice landscaping. There were a few places to walk to as well like a grocery store and cafe, and a super close gas station. Other places were a 10min drive, Old San Juan maybe 15mins depending on traffic. Our family trip was a wonderful time and the house was a big part of that! We hope to be back soon.
