The villa
Fare One ‘the house of sand’ is a villa built in the 1950s on the edge of the lagoon in almost 1300 m2 of tropical garden. Ideally located to the south-west of the motu, with a unique panorama, it enjoys natural protection and magnificent light throughout the day until sunset, when it faces the horizon.
With its open-plan living space overlooking the lagoon and the wild, unspoilt surrounding nature, Fare One is a comfortable holiday villa that reflects the very essence of Polynesian living, where it is as enjoyable to live outdoors as it is indoors.
The villa comfortably sleeps up to 6 people.
Leisure facilities
Double kayak, paddle, masks, flippers and snorkels, beach towels, sun loungers, deckchairs, beach shower, barbecue, wifi connection, smart TV, music speakers.
Activities
There are plenty of activities on offer. The lagoon around the motu is a veritable giant aquarium, with shallow waters and a temperature of 25° all year round. It's the ideal place for safe snorkelling and discovering the wonders it harbours: coral and multi-coloured fish, turtles, rays and other harmless sharks. Catering
Please note that there are no shops accessible on the motu, so we advise you to plan all your supplies before you arrive. There are plenty of shops in the village opposite the motu.
Access for travellers
For your shopping and errands on the main island, our boat is available free of charge once a day from 7.30am to 5.30pm. Sandra and Romain are on hand to answer your questions and make your stay as pleasant as possible. We will send you all the information you need before you arrive.

On a motu, as in any unspoilt environment, resources are limited, precious and nature fragile. Fare One Island is an autonomous and eco-responsible villa in terms of energy: we produce our own electricity and collect rainwater. We therefore ask you to avoid any unnecessary waste of these precious resources. We thank you in advance for your understanding and wish you an unforgettable stay on the motu.

We have stayed on Motu Fare One before. By far this is the best place on Moorea, I know because this is the 10th visit to Moorea over a 25 yr span, in which we have stayed at Hilton and other VRBO’s. The coral in the lagoon is some of the healthiest around Moorea. There is even a research center right next door conducting studies of coral and aquatic life. You can also have a guaranteed whale sighting from the property, with early am and just before sunset. It is also nice to sit at sunset and watch the Frigate birds all come back inland along with beautiful sunsets. Nicolas’ place is gorgeous and comfortable. As an added bonus you have Romain there on the property if you need anything at all. Even though he is there you do not see him unless you need him. He will also do all your meals if you wish and he is an EXCELLENT CHEF!!!! By far THE BEST PLACE TO STAY ON MOOREA!!!!!

My family and I stayed four nights on Fare One Motu and it surpassed our expectations. The property sits on a prime location right on the water. Beautiful views and great snorkeling/swimming right out front.The place has been recently renovated and has all the modern amenities you could ask for. The kitchen and dining room set up is spectacular and was the focal point of our family time together. Our on-site host Romaine is also a great French chef (20 years of experience as a professional chef) and provided excellent meals when we wanted someone else to do the cooking. He was a great host and chef and was a big part of making our stay very special.It is hard to imagine anything closer to the ultimate tropical paradise getaway than this place.Highly recommended!
