About this house rental
Cute and cozy newly-renovated duplex located in the heart of St. Elmo! This is a perfect place to stay during a fun trip to Chattanooga. Enjoy Chattanooga's many activities-- outdoor sports, museums, shopping, and local eateries. Lots of parking makes our home accessible. Explore this up-and-coming town during a delightful stay at the St. Elmo Haven!
There are 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, 1 bathroom with a tub/shower combo, functional, well stocked kitchen, and a living room suitable for up to four guests. We have limited parking available. No more than two cars are allow. Do not block shared driveways or any other garage door other than yours. Located steps away from the St. Elmo Playground and the Chattanooga Riverwalk.
You will have the entire space to yourself with access to a full sized washer and dryer in the basement.
We do allow up to 2 dogs, for an additional non refundable pet fee of $100. Additional fees will occur for any damage caused by dogs.
We're always on call to answer questions and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our daughter-in-law, Erin, also helps us co-host, so you'll likely be in contact with her throughout your planning and stay.
Please know that St. Elmo is full of historic homes, some beautifully restored but with many still in transition. The majority of our guests enjoy the charm and diversity of the area, yet we also know that it is an urban neighborhood, not for everyone. We also want to note that our home is on the main road in St Elmo, St. Elmo Avenue, busy at times. Enjoy and explore this up-and-coming town during a delightful stay at the St. Elmo Haven!
Our home is a quick 5-10 minutes from many Downtown attractions: the Incline Railway, Rock City, Point Park, Ruby Falls, the River Walk, and more. Enjoy nearby access to hiking and biking trails. Or take a short walk over to St Elmo Playground and picnic area. There is also a Food City grocery store 5 minutes from the house.
We only have one TV centrally located in the living room. You can enjoy watching basic TV channels, or log in to your personal streaming services on our smart TV.

Due to insurance purposes, an additional fine, up to a $1,000 for cleaning, will occur if any evidence of smoking is found on the property.

Host was very easy to work with. House was in a nice neighborhood. Traffic was heavy, but bedrooms are in back so you dont even notice. We had everything we needed at this house. Perfect location in proximity to our softball tournament. Close to Ruby Falls, Incline Railway, Lookout Mtn and Great Falls.

I booked this for my husband who needed a place to stay near family. He says it was a comfortable home base to relax in. It was very clean, and the kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals. He noticed there were plenty of games (as well as a playground across that street) that we could use if the whole family had been there. Communication with the owner was prompt, friendly, and helpful. I would recommend this property as a home base for your visit to St. Elmo and the Chattanooga area.

Comfortable, convenient location for us, communication about facilities was clear and told us all we needed to know. Parking off street was much appreciated. Kitchen was equipped well enough for our needs. Thanks very much for a comfortable stay.

I arrived at about 4:10pm (after check-in start time), and there was a pile of dirty towels in the bathroom, and bedsheets were definitely used and scattered on the beds. No answer via Vrbo message for about twenty minutes, so went to the alternate text number, and she sent the cleaning crew to the Vrbo, arriving at about 5:15. No cleaning had been done between guests, and I was instructed to leave during the cleaning, but also was never messaged when they finished, which would have been helpful. Ant infestation during stormy weather was surprising and not fun, but they liked my coconut cookies. Hopefully the nest on the laundry room door is a mud dauber's and not a wasp's. Towel rack barely hanging on in bathroom. Shower floor makes loud snapping-type sounds at times. No messages were ever answered during my in-person stay via Vrbo inbox, which is the standard place to communicate. Normally I'm sure this is a great place to stay, but there was a lot lacking this time. Other than these issues, stay was overall fine. Improving communication, cleaning scheduling, as well as the small issues mentioned would go a long way for future guests.
