Lake Jeff Cottage is located on a small, private road in the town of Jeffersonville, New York.
Lake Jeff is a small, private, non-motorized lake where guests enjoy fishing, rowing, and kayaking from this peaceful lakefront property.
About the size of the iconic lake in Central Park, Lake Jeff offers the same intimate, storybook charm; only here, it’s private, and there's no crowds.
Like Central Park’s lake, Lake Jeff is prized for its scenic beauty, boating, fishing, and abundant wildlife rather than swimming. Its gentle, shallow waters are perfect for fishing and leisurely paddles, where you can glide quietly across the lake, watch for soaring eagles and other wildlife, and enjoy the tranquility of the Catskills.
For your enjoyment, we provide two kayaks and a rowboat during your stay.

If you prefer day tripping, our area of the Catskills offers a plethora of options including arts and entertainment, swimming, horseback riding, fly fishing, an indoor water park, golfing, and a casino, among other attractions. We have local breweries and distilleries and some amazing restaurants, for you to enjoy. All within a short drive from the cottage.

One of the things guests love most about Lake Jeff Cottage is its unique hillside setting overlooking the lake.
Built into the natural landscape, the cottage’s multi-level design, natural stone terraces, and elevated position create sweeping panoramic lake views throughout the property and offer a truly one-of-a-kind lakeside experience.
Because of the unique setting, and varying levels of elevation, there are numerous unenclosed terraces, stairs, steps, and natural stone surfaces. The grounds surrounding the cottage may contain uneven stones, gaps, and changes in elevation that could present tripping and fall hazards.
Due to these conditions, the property may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues, young children, or those seeking a flat, fully enclosed outdoor space or wide open fields.
Guests assume responsibility for navigating the property safely and are advised to exercise caution throughout their stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The lake cottage was the perfect family getaway. Such a cozy space for a multigenerational family. The host was very responsive and the instructions made for an easy stay. Great way to ring in the new year!

I can’t say enough good things about this lakehouse — it’s one of those rare finds that somehow feels even better than the pictures. The view of the water is unreal, especially at sunrise and sunset. You can sit on the deck for hours just listening to the trees and watching the light change. The inside is spotless, cozy, and perfectly curated — it feels like a boutique retreat, not just a rental. Every detail is thought out, like the little touches that make it feel like home. I can’t say enough good things about this lakehouse — it’s one of those rare finds that somehow feels even better than the pictures. The view of the water is unreal, especially at sunrise and sunset. You can sit on the deck for hours just listening to the trees and watching the light change. The inside is spotless, cozy, and perfectly curated — it feels like a boutique retreat, not just a rental. The host was super responsive and made check-in effortless — honestly one of the easiest and most welcoming experiences I’ve had renting anywhere upstate.
