VILLETTE TAORMINA, LA PERLA DELL'ISOLA - TAORMINA AREA
The charming Villette Taormina, La Perla Dell'Isola, apartment (120sqm) is part of a Resort consisting of 24 apartments, ideal for guests looking for a unique holiday in one of the most enchanting spots of Sicily. The resort is located in the spectacular natural scenery of Mazzarò's Bay overlooking the Island Isola Bella, one of the UNESCO World Heritage site.

It is walking distance to the cable car (800m) that allows guests to reach Taormina centre in just a few minutes (approximately 5 minutes car ride). Walking about 10 minutes towards Isola Bella beach and the cable car departure station, you will find along the street restaurants/pizzerias, 1 bar, 1 very good street food with typical Sicilian products , 2 minimarkets which also sell bread, 1 pharmacy and souvenir shops.

You will access the accommodation from the private parking area via a lift going down to each floor. The lift opens onto covered corridors with doors to the individual apartments including Villette Taormina. The lift takes also to the magnificent infinity swimming pool (usually open between May 1 - October 31; please enquire for specific dates).

THE APARTMENT
From the external corridor on the ground floor, you will access a large and beautifully furnished living room, with dining table for 6, 40" TV with Satellite channels with USB port, and doors to a spacious furnished terrace with full sea view. There is a kitchen with cooker, oven, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

On the other side of the external (communal) corridor, you will find a second door located opposite the main entrance that leads to a room with double bed (size is 160x190cm) with bathroom with shower. Please note that this bedroom is separate from the main area of the apartment, therefore not suitable for young children.

On the first floor there is a spacious double bedroom (bed size 160x200cm) with sea view, and one bathroom with shower. From this floor, few outdoor covered steps lead to a further double bedroom (bed size 160x190cm) with en-suite bathroom with shower.

Facilities: air conditioning units in the bedrooms for cold and hot, washing machine, dishwasher, iron, 40" TV with USB port, hairdryer, private parking space, shared swimming pool, safe-box, table tennis in the building's communal area, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, kettle, gas hob, oven, toaster, carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, coffee machine (capsules), bed linen, bathroom towels, pool towels.

The building has 2 lifts: one from the parking area (on the roof of the building which is at street level) that takes you to the apartments and to the pool area, and one larger lift (currently unavailable) that takes you from the apartments to the sea level access. From where the lift stops, there are about 20 steps to reach the sea level rocky platform access (currently unavailable).

PLEASE NOTE:
- The apartment can accommodate maximum 6 guests, including babies.
- The pool normally opens on May 1st, weather permitting. For May bookings, please keep in mind that if April has been particularly rainy or stormy, some condominium services may no work such as lift, ladder into the sea (if the sea has been stormy, it can be taken away by waves), parts of the rocks, etc. We kindly ask to keep the April weather in mind.
- When the pool is closed, the lift going down to see level is also closed. Pool is usually open between May 1 to October 31; please enquire for specific information if your dates are outside of these, or beginning of May - end of October, as it can sometimes vary.
- The step ladder that goes into the sea, is taken off by the building admin between September 20th and early October, so access to the sea is only possible via the rocks.

Marco welcomed us very well. Very good communication and very responsive. He gave us a lot of very good information. The apartment is clean and well maintained. The 3 rooms are well separated between each other which is very good with young adults but maybe not good with young Kids.

`On our second trip to Sicily we decided to try an extended stay in Taormina. Travelling with another couple, we picked this unit based on the web site pix and reviews. The condo development is literally in the hillside above Isola. You can miss it driving by as the only visible evidence is the topside parking lot, one of spaces to be assigned to your car for free (this is the only free thing in Taormina). We were met by the owner/agent, Marco. He is warm, informative, curious about his guests, and readily available for a tour of the facility and any questions. As others have written, the unit layout is a bit different, but it makes sense design wise. Its on three levels. Internally, on the main level there is a large common area for lounging and dining (kitchen is tight but has everything, including dishwasher) which leads to the private patio/deck overlooking Isola from about 300 yards away. The patio is about 125 feet above the water, immediately below. The Calabrian coast sits in a haze across the horizon. One bedroom upstairs overlooks the same view. A second bedroom is accessed internally from the upstairs level and requires a few stairs up across a small, private and secure (locks on all doors) open air stair well area. The upstairs bedroom contains a washer/dryer and has access to a small, private roof deck where the clothes line lives. The third bedroom is across the interior hall from the common room. The weather helped to make this a perfect stay, but the appartement and neighberhood are fine for a Group of adults.
