The neighborhood:
The area is near famous big hub Ikebukuro, huge shopping/dinning area connected with many trains and subway direct to all part of Tokyo. House is at “Higashi Nagasaki” which is a quiet real local Japanese residential neighborhood. Only a few minutes to Ikebukuro station is packed with shopping streets, duty free discount electronic mall, huge department stores, cafe, at least 500 restaurants and 1,000 shops !
The Space:
This is real Japanese neighborhood HOUSE, it is 20+ years plus but interior was renovated with 3 rooms apartment and balcony. The best of western and Japanese rooms combined.
2 double beds and 2 single bed, (2 Japanese futons only when beds are full) 4 air conditions/heaters, flat screen TV with Netflix Disney+ and YouTube or stream your own. Fast WIFI, heated toilet billet seat, bath tub, hot shower, towels, hair dryer, shampoo, body soap, washing machine, coffee machine, mircowave, toaster, rice cooker, refrigerator, 3 stoves full kitchen, cooking tools, iron.
Guest access:
Guests can have whole unit with total privacy. These are provided:
- Fastest Wifi with Fiber Optics (get your data eSim or Sim at airport)
- flatscreen color TV with Netflix
- towels provided.
- 4 x air conditioning / heating
-Temperature control bath
- Body soap, shampoo and hair dryer
- Toaster and hot water boiler
- Cooking tools and utensils
- Japanese table wares, chopsticks, fork and spoon
- washing machine and dehumidifier
- coffee machine and coffee
- bring your own toothpaste/tooth brush (personal hygiene)
Easy transportation:
- 4 minutes or 2 quick stops to the big hub area Ikebukuro, or taxi 10US

From Ikebukuro station:
- JR Yamanote to Shinjuku only 9 minutes
- JR Yamanote to Shibuya only 11 minutes
- JR Yamanote to Ueno only 17 minutes
- JR Yamanote to Akihabara electronic town 20 minutes
- Subway Marunouchi line to shopping paradise Ginza 19 minutes
- JR Yamanote to fashion town Harajuku is 13 minutes
- 16 minutes to Tokyo Station
- 24 minutes to fish market Tsukiji
- 28 minutes train to Asakusa, the big historic Japanese Shrine with hundreds of old shops

Other things to note:
- No late check in after 9:30pm meaning no Narita airport arrival after 6pm because it may take guest 3 hours to get to the city from arrival first time, Haneda airport is closer so arrival before 7PM is ok. Check in before midnight is really not preferred only if your group is small like 3 persons and notify me before booking.
- the WiFi is free but you should get your own data SIM card at airport or e-Sim data card.
- no smoking indoor or at doorway.but the balcony you can ash tray provided
- absolutely No drugs or loud party. Suspicious of any drug will involve local police, and will be locked out from from house.

If you want a quiet, beautiful pocket of Tokyo to come back to after a hectic day in the city, this is for you! The host had awesome recommendations for places very near the house and it's a short walk from Higashi Nagasaki station on Seibo Line. It's fantastic! We wanted to cancel our Kyoto trip to stay longer!

Wonderful location just a couple blocks from a 7-11 and small grocery store and less than a 10 minute walk to the Higashi-Nagasaki station. So glad we stayed in this nice little house in this lovely quiet residential neighbourhood. The house had everything we needed and we appreciated coming back to this quiet area after spending long days in the crowded Tokyo hot spot destinations. Highly recommended!

Kevin was the best: responsive, informative, thorough - much appreciated for first-time visitors to Japan. We also liked that the property was removed from the more chaotic downtown area. It was nice to come back to a quiet neighborhood after a busy day.

Kevin was a fantastic communicator and helped us with clear directions to get to his property including videos of how to get the trains and a video of how to walk there from the station.He also provided us with instructions and advice on local eateries and restaurants.His place was super close to a 7/11 and supermarket and was a quick 5 minute walk to the closest train station.His house had everything we needed for our stay. Towels soap shampoo cutlery plates bowls seasonings etc. having 3 separate sleeping areas was perfect for us too. One bedroom is down some steep steps.The beds were all very comfortable.Having a washing machine and washing liquid was also really handy.I would be more than happy to stay here again.This place is perfect for a big family or a group of friends.
