This immaculate two-bedroom/one-bath vacation rental is situated on the shores of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. It features comfortable accommodations and stunning wide-water and mountain views! Perfect for a family getaway, Cedar Key Cabin includes one queen-size bed, two twins TV, VCR, DirectTV, internet access, central heating and air-conditioning, open beams, and hardwood floors. The home sleeps 4 persons comfortably.
Outdoors there's a deck with a charcoal grill and patio furniture. NEW this year is a separate private floating dock which is great for swimming and boating. There is additional room on a shared dock. Cedar Key Cabin is near the mountains and the Smith Mountain Lake dam and also located in a "NO WAKE" cove which is ideal for swimming. Smith Mountain Lake is a boater's and fisherman's paradise. There are 500 miles of shoreline on this 40 mile long, 20,000 acre lake. If you have your own boat, you can launch it at nearby Mitchell's Point Marina and dock it at the Cabin's dock. Boat rentals and wave runners are available at several lake locations. From our location it is about 1000 feet to the main channel of the lake. For the fisherman, we are located on Witcher Creek where the stripers spawn. The lake is stocked with bass, muskies, northern pike, and other small game fish.
Dog friendly! Dogs are allowed on the property and have a wonderful time at the lake. However, please do not leave them alone. Even though your dog may be comfortable alone at home, dogs are often frightened when left in a strange place and can cause substantial damage. Cats are not allowed.

Cabin was great and as described. Check-in was quick and easy, and the place was very comfortable and clean. However the listing stated a private dock and floating swim dock, which is not accurate. The dock(s) are shared with the neighboring cabin (2 cabins per dock) and the one for 'our' cabin did not have a floating dock, despite the listing saying it did.My wife was 8months pregnant at the time of our stay and there was no way she was able to go down the ladder 6-8ft into the lake to swim.Luckily the dock adjacent to 'ours' did have a floating dock, and no one was staying in its cabins so we utilized that one.I suggest that the host updates the listing accordingly. Other than that, it was a perfect stay.

It was an excellent experience. The property was clean and the price was excellent. The best part was that my dog got to come with us!

Host was extremely responsive. Lovely location with lots of wildlife. Kitchen stocked well. Be sure to either bring linens and towels or rent them. Garbage is removed by renter and disposed of 2 miles away at county waste station.
