About this apartment rental
This charming penthouse is located inside the Tohoku gated residential area, a very private and peaceful zone in the center on Playa del Carmen (where 38th street and 25th avenue meet). Only 7 minutes walking from the turquoise Caribbean waters and 5 from the vibrant 5th Avenue, where all the restaurants, bars, cafés and shops can be found. This apartment has a spacious bedroom with air conditioning that overlooks the private swimming pool, one complete bathroom, equipped kitchen and a wonderful terrace with grill and space to sun tan, dine or relax in the pool. It is ideal for a couple who is looking to rest and relax without being away from the lively center of Playa. All services and activities of interest are close by.

This condo is a fantastic little spot, and Victor, who lives on-site, is very helpful. Although the condo is small, it is well-equipped with everything you might need. The air conditioning works wonderfully, and we only needed it in the bedroom. Beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler for your beach days are also provided, and the beach is just a 10-minute stroll away.
The patio is spacious, and the private plunge pool is a cooling addition. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio, lunch at the beach, and dined out every night, so we didn't do any cooking, but there is a BBQ and a stove available in the condo.
A grocery store is only a 5-minute walk away, and 5th Avenue, where all the shops and restaurants are located, is about 10 minutes away. The condo is situated in a gated community, and the security staff are very friendly.
I would definitely recommend staying here. While it may not be a top-tier 5-star resort condo with all the luxurious amenities, it is clean, quiet, comfortable, and we had a truly wonderful time.

Perfect place to call home for 6 days! Felt very safe and quiet (except for nearby construction which was of no fault of the host!) and was convenient to walk anywhere. Loved the little private pool for our rest days in between nearby excursions. Would stay here again!

We truly enjoyed the outside area, convenient to shopping, beach and cenotes. We had a chance to meet so many locals and try delicious dishes. Victor was such a gracious host and we really appreciated all the little extras. This was our one year anniversary and it was absolutely fantastic!!
