About this house rental
Due to a new Carlsbad City rule, the maximum occupancy of this two bedroom unit is five persons.
3021 Ocean Street is a 2 story beachfront property that sits at the northern end of Carlsbad State Beach. Unobstructed ocean views and just steps from the sand. Completely renovated as of January 2013. Enjoy fresh beach-cottage style in the best location in Carlsbad! The house is beach front and easy walking distance to the village of Carlsbad, with a variety of dining and shopping options. The house also sits about a block and a half from the public boardwalk that runs along the coast, where you can walk/run with expansive ocean views. The property can be rented weekly as a 4 bedroom / 4 bath home or as two individual 2 bedroom / 2 bath units. The prices listed here are for the downstairs unit.v(The 4 bedroom 4 bath house is listed at #222535). Both units have private deck space, BBQ, and access to the jacuzzi. There are also two lower communal deck areas.
Upstairs: master bedroom with king bed and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pacific ocean. Master bath includes sunken tub and full shower. Second bedroom has two twin beds. Full kitchen, large living room, second full bathroom, large patio deck overlooking ocean. Living room has a sleeper sofa. A one car parking garage is included with the upstairs unit.
Downstairs: master bedroom with a king bed and full bath, 180 degree ocean views. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and full bath. Full kitchen, large living room, large patio deck overlooking ocean.
Jacuzzi is on the sw corner of this deck. Living room has a sleeper sofa.
**Rents weekly only, Saturday to Saturday, no exceptions. No smoking, no pets, no parties. Maximum people allowed on premise for 2 bedroom unit is 5; maximum people allowed on premise for 4 bedroom is 10.
**Rates are subject to change without notice.
Tax is 10% plus $1 a night per bedroom
Cleaning fee is $375 upstairs and $250 downstairs and $550 for 4 bedroom 4 bath
To reserve time, pay 50% rent. 60 days prior to rental date, pay remaining rent, tax, cleaning and security deposit. Refund policy: rent is refunded if time reserved is re-rented.

I was on a work trip and decided at the last minute to extend my stay. It was absolutely a great decision! The house was a perfect size and ideal location. The outdoor space was wonderful. It was exactly what I was looking for to enjoy a chill week with an amazing, picturesque backdrop.

Clean lovely property on the beach! Ocean views throughout the home. The waves lull you to sleep. We watched a pod of dolphins swim by we also saw a whale from the front porch!! All white and beachy decor. The kitchen was well enough equipped for eating at home. It was also walking distance to Downtown Carlsbad amenities. Vikki was easy to communicate with. I would love to stay here again. It was hard to leave!

I enjoyed my stay in Carlsbad, Ca. The 2br downstairs unit was in a great location, walkable to restaurants and shops, very clean and spacious. Vicki was very responsive to any questions that I had and was very gracious in letting me use the garage(which was for the upper unit) free of charge, as no one had rented the upper unit. I would definitely return and recommend staying here! The only thing I would recommend is having more condiments available in the kitchen.

Just left from a wonderful week-long vacation in this lovely rental home. We rented the downstairs unit and it was absolutely perfect for me, my husband and my 2 small children. Breathtaking views from the balcony and very easy beach access. I was lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the ocean. Many great restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. During the week, we went to Legoland 3 times, as it was an easy 10min drive.
The owner was very responsive and I was very pleased with her commitment to ensuring that we had an enjoyable stay. She even provided a portable crib and toddler booster seat, which were indispensable.
I would highly recommended this property (and I am very picky) to anyone looking for a quality beachfront vacation rental!
