About this house rental
Lovely two story country home. Country setting but only two miles from beautiful down town South Haven. You will here traffic noise. This property offers an above ground pool, a beautiful back yard for the children to play with a swing set. Plenty of parking for boats or trailers. Two large living rooms. A creek in the back for exploring. Also fresh blueberries while in season to pick and eat. You’ll love the privacy of an open fire pit with a gas grill. The two bedrooms are upstairs with one full bathroom down stairs. No smoking in doors. No parties allowed.

Property located on busy highway with frequent traffic noise. For safety we drove bikes to nearby bike trails. However, there is easy access to beach, parks and shopping. Property shares driveway with host's car sales business. In front is banner supporting ex-president.
House is spacious and decorated with pleasant Christian theme. 2 living rooms contain large comfortable sofas and TVs. Queen mattress was soft causing roll towards the middle. Single bathroom stayed busy and we needed to walk downstairs to access facilities during the night. Kitchen cupboards, frig were partially filled with other people's food. This limited storage for our items.
Grandkids enjoyed swimming pool and swing set. Pond was under repair so paddleboat was not usable. Blueberry bushes will be enjoyable when they mature but several u-pick farms are nearby.
We believed we had rented the house for up to 7 guests and were surprised to learn that the base rate is only for 4 guests (this was not explicitly stated in the listing). There is a $25 per day per person charge for extra guests. We paid $150 for our 5th person and the host has agreed to refund $150 for our 6th guest who was added less than one week before our arrival and then had to cancel at the last minute.
Though this trip was not ideal for the forementioned reasons we generally enjoyed our stay.
