House for 6 and a baby, quiet and bright, all comforts, shaded terrace

We stayed in this house for 2 weeks in April 2023. It was a comfortable stay. Good value for money. The house is fully equiped. Even toilet paper and soap were supplied. Everything was very clean. The rooms have a nice size. Beds are comfortable. The pictures give a good idea of what to expect. In April 2023 the temperature was not as high all the time as we hoped, but inside it was no problem getting a comfortable temperature. The house has a lot of windows and a garden all around it. So just move the chairs and enjoy the sun the whole day around. The house is situated on a corner in the village Saint Pardon. Very quiet neigbourhood and just a few minutes away from the river and what is called a harbour. A very nice place just to sit down and enjoy the lovely view of this special river that flows depending upon the time of the day either to the left or to right. Ask the host about the tidal bore. That is really worth watching when it appears. The car can be parked on 2 different place within the fence. A walk to Vayres is also nice. And ofcourse the house is well situated for visits to Bordeaux (make use of the parc-relais of TBM in Lormont and take the tram A down town, on the way back take the tram A direction la Gardette (tram A splits a given moment to another direction so the tram has 2 directions); it is easy to buy a ticket at the stops of the tram. St Emilion is easy to get to as well but forget about parking in the village, even in early April all parking places were full. There is a lot more to see and do. The house is bright but not so bright that you might want to close the curtains or the shutters. The wifi werked perfectly. Hervé is very good host. Easy to reach with whatsapp or by phone. So we recommend this house!

Very beautiful house. Definitely respecting the photos. It was a great experience. We and our 3 children really enjoyed the garden and the quietness of the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay, taking time to visit Blaye, St Emilion and the city Bordeaux. Places we would happily visit again. We ate outside in the shade of the cherry tree each night. The well stocked DVD library meant our kids were never short of entertainment. The owner Herve gave very good advice on local amenities and places to eat. The property is in a quiet neighbourhood of the village and we enjoyed several walks to the nearby banks of the Dordogne river. We recommend this property with enthusiasm. A great place to stay!

Very high tech holiday home on an estate every convenience including air conditioning .Great screen and stereo system to watch films. Very ancient chateau in the village but you have to drive for any shops or restaurants . Bordeaux is only a half hour drive away. Car very necessary. Only improvement would be to extend the air conditioning to the bedrooms as it was very hot at night and some lounging garden furniture.
