Holiday home on the hills of El Borge, province of Malaga, Andalucia.
Perched on a hilltop and overlooking the mountains and hills that envelop the town of El Borge, this holiday home provides quietness and relaxation for up to four guests. Its tranquil surroundings let you wake up to the birds signing and the first sun rays reflecting on the horizon. Once here, the whole family will experience the most regenerating holidays, in a home away from home.
You can access the house either from MA-3111 (Malaga - Comares), via a 2.5-km dirt track, which winds through the mountains that characterise this area of the inland part of the province of Malaga, or from the nearby MA-3114 road (Moclinejo - El Borge), which is connected to the property via a 3.5-km unpaved lane.
The house, built and decorated with earthy materials such as stone, terracotta floors and wooden furniture, provides an authentic atmosphere. The spacious double-height living room is the main room in the house, where you will find comfortable sofas, a dining table and a kitchenette equipped with all the necessary utensils. The wood-burning stove located near the sofas helps to maintain a pleasant atmosphere. The house has one double bedroom with a double bed.
All rooms are air-conditioned.
Outside, several corners allow the whole family to rejoice in the splendid landscape that envelops the property. You can make the most of it as you have your breakfast in the spacious porch, sunbathe facing the hills or refresh in the private pool.

Our host, Jose, contacted us weeks before our vacation via Whatsapp and took the precaution of pointing out the (very!) mountainous location of this beautiful house. He gave us advices and sent us an explanatory dashboard-video plus gmaps-"checkpoints" so that we couldn't miss the house under any circumstances. However, a vehicle that can handle uneven roads and steep slopes is definitely a really good idea. Don't drive too fast and watch out for your passengers - it can be quite a little bumpy.But the way itself, a real adventure on its own, is worth it: the house is located in a kind of green oasis way up in the mountains, surrounded by fruit trees and flowers that are lovingly tended by Jose. The small pool is a great place for children and adults to cool off, and there are numerous small, quiet places to sit and lie down in the shadow of trees or patio roof everywhere. It is so calm!A highlight is the open, second floor in the house - like a maisonette or balcony with a bed above the living room and kitchen. The seamless and very courteous communication with Jose, who only speaks Spanish, and the immaculate condition, the modern and high-quality furnishings and equipment of the house - while carefully preserving the historical character of the house - deserve a particularly positive mention. We wanted for nothing, we were simply thrilled! Thank you for a really wonderful time in this beauftiful, dreamlike place.

We came to this property to have peacefulness and tranquility while the rest of the world was on spring break.
The place was PERFECT!
We hiked the countryside, cooked dinner with fresh herbs from the garden on the wood fired grill, and meet a local foat farmer
The property is beautiful. The bed was comfortable. Every little detail was considered.
We had a fire in the fireplace and fell asleep after watching the moonrise.
Such a romantic, wonderful vacation.

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in dit huisje vlakbij Moclinejo en El Borge. 's Ochtends wakker worden met het gezang van de vogeltjes en de zon die langzaam opkomt en die (als het niet heiig is) in de verte weerkaatst op de zee. Alle kleuren groen van olijf-, amandel-, en andere bomen die je ziet en de rust die daarvan uitgaat vonden wij heel erg ontspannend. Ook de landwegen waren heel rustig. Als we 5 auto's op een dag voorbij zagen komen was het veel.
Tegelijkertijd ligt het huisje niet ver van de bewoonde wereld af. Een korte rit van 10 minuten over het onverharde pad (voor ervaren rijders vanwege enkele steile stukken en het bochtenwerk) en je was al op de asfaltweg die naar verschillende dorpen en de kust leidt. Dus je kan ook makkelijk naar het strand of ergens een terrasje pakken.
De tuin is met liefde aangelegd met diverse prachtige planten, eetbare kruiden en fruitbomen. Er is zelfs een vijver met een paar vissen en een kikker. In de avond komen de hagedissen te voorschijn die op de muggen en andere insecten jagen.
Het huisje zelf is netjes en schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Linnengoed wordt elke week verschoond en het zwembad wordt ook regelmatig schoon gemaakt.
Wat onze ervaring compleet maakte was de vriendelijkheid en de gastvrijheid van José en zijn vrouw. Zij zijn erg behulpzaam en klantvriendelijk. De gesprekken verliepen zo nodig via de vertaalmachine en zorgde soms voor wat hilariteit bij gekke letterlijke vertalingen.
We zijn echt heel erg blij dat we dit huisje hebben gevonden en willen zeker terugkomen naar dit paradijsje!

Schönes gepflegtes Haus mit traumhaftem Ausblick. Im Haus stand uns alles zur Verfügung was wir brauchten, wir bekamen frische Handtücher und Bettwäsche. Der Pool war sehr sauber und wurde alle 3-4 Tage gereinigt. Er war etwas kleiner als erwartet und hatte leider ab ca 16:00 keine Sonne mehr. Der Garten ist wunderschön, mit einem kleinen Koi-Teich. Der weg zur Wohnung ist Recht lang da es kleine, unasphlatierte wege sind, die man fahren muss. Etwas abenteuerlich aber absolut machbar. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir würden die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. Es war sehr schön!
