ACTIVITIES:
We have at your disposal a large documentation on the various attractions of our beautiful region: Picturesque villages, Heritage, Gastronomy, Restaurants, Wine cellars, Amusement parks ...
.Beautiful hikes in the vineyards from the residence. Numerous cycle paths also run through the vineyards, plains and mountains (bicycle rental at the Kaysersberg Tourist Office: for the day or half day, service offered from spring to end of October).
You will enjoy tasting regional specialties in the many restaurants, wintstub flambé pies (called flamekueche), starred restaurants, and farm inns in the mountains (marcaire meal). In the tea rooms let yourself be tempted by the local pastries and the typical "kougelhopf".
.Colmar offers you romantic boat trips in the green district of Little Venice. See also the renovated Unterlinden museum renowned for the Isenheim Altarpiece. The Barrière Resort in Ribeauvillé: Casino, Shows, Restaurant, Spa, Spa ... worth a visit too.
Throughout the summer, many local festivals and gourmet markets with local flavors will awaken your taste buds.
You will not have enough a week to discover our beautiful region where life is good and fun!

For our one-week trip the apartment was perfect: it is light, spacious and comfortable. Being on the third floor the view is magnificent, if you like vineyards and hills: we loved it!
It is fully equipped, the host is nice, the large terrace is suny and the location is perfect for exploring the Alsace. The beds were a bit harder than we like, but that is only slight minus. We do look forward to staying there again!

We rented the apartment for one week July 2023. Due to the high temperature we had to keep the window shutters closed most of the time and unfortunately it was to hot to sit on the large balcony during daytime but early morning and evenings we enjoyed the beautiful views all around, just as we did the quietness of the area. The location however is perfect for visits to lots of interesting places and cities like Colmar, it’s a remarkable spot and the apartment is complete, highly recommended.

The views from the house are fantastic - the nearby Vosges on one side, the further Black Forest on the other and surrounded by vineyards. Apart from the view it was fascinating to see how they tend to the vines. The large living area window added a lot. The terrace has the all-round view and a high level of privacy.
The house was clean, comfortable and well-equipped.
There's not much to Bennwihr but the nearby villages of Riquewihr etc are very attractive with lots of restaurants. The military cemetery on the hill opposite is worth a visit - we walked through the vineyards to it. We had good walks in the Vosges, around Kaysersberg (leaflet from the tourist office) and in the vineyards and we were able to travel easily to Strasbourg (very good and cheap park and ride - see their website), Colmar, Freiberg and the Black Forest.
Large Cora hypermarket five minutes away at Houssen.
We had a warm welcome from Denise who lives in the building and speaks some English although getting the arrival information was a bit last-minute, possibly because the owners were on holiday.
Thoroughly recommend the apartment and area.

Apartment was wonderful. Ideal base for getting around wine route etc. Nowhere to eat in village but some lovely restaurant 10-15 mins drive away. Got used to the church bells ringing every 15 mins. Lovely trip to black forest and Gengenbach.
Would advise anyone to stay as it has every thing you need in a beautiful area and sure we will return
$$$$
