Gîte de Beauregard, in the heart of the castles of the Loire

A simple rustic cottage in a glorious setting with sweeping views and access to chateau grounds. Owners were delightful and helpful and it was the perfect jumping off point for exploring the area.

What a beautiful location! On the grounds of the castle, you feel like a lord of the manor. The cottage is as you can read on the site, everything is there.

This is a lovely property set in the grounds of a chateau in the Loire Valley. The property was clean, well presented and well equipped. The kitchen is slightly on the small side with limited room for preparing food, put this didn't pose a big problem. The location is good, with local shops and a big supermarket close by. The best thing about the location is being able to wander around the grounds of the chateau - including 'after hours' when the visitors have left the park. We were given a warm welcome on our arrival, and the staff were helpful. My one complaint - and it is significant - is that my security deposit of 300 euros hasn't been returned, more than 5 weeks after getting home. Initially this appeared to be an administrative error, but still hasn't been returned. By all means book, but insist that your deposit is returned to you in cash at the end of your stay - otherwise this isn't the good value property it appears to be.
