This small charming spot is steps from Lake Maubuisson.
Cottage is located 200 m from Lake Maubuisson (blue pavilion) and 2.5 km away from the ocean. The exotic exterior decoration and charming interior drew us to La Cabane.
La Cabane offers year-round simple, welcoming and astute comfort.
Interior fittings are brand new and functional. Each area optimizes space.
On the ground floor: living space with dishwasher (plenty of new dishware), console with flat screen TV, Blu-ray player, DVD player, CD, sofa, table, and chairs. Kitchen is equipped with ceramic hobs, refrigerator with freezer compartment, oven, microwave, electric coffee maker, toaster, kettle, and various cooking utensils.
The bathroom includes shower, WC, bath towels, hand towels, bathmats, storage space and more.
Upstairs, the bedrooms meet the highest comfort expectations with quality bedding and abundant storage space. The décor is uncluttered with many wood decorations painted white to create a tranquil atmosphere.
Enjoy in and outdoors with the living area opening on a large wooden terrace, easy to live in, no close neighbours, south-facing, and shaded patio perfect for outdoor lunches. Enjoy the coffee break area near the barbecue, the dining area with large wooden table, double benches and chairs, and the relaxation area with two sun loungers and umbrella.
The terrace is decorated with shells, star fish, anchors and boat floats. The nautical colour scheme includes rusty red and white. Tropical plants make you dream of distant horizons.
Inside this surfer's cottage various amenities are available for your use, including a washing machine, laundry basket and different tools for cleaning and ironing.
Ideally located in a quiet apartment building, La Cabane is only 200 m from the lake and 800 m from the city centre. A parking space is available in front of la Cabane.
The location is ideal for recharge your batteries, enjoying yourself and exploring the area. You are sure to find an escape.
You will not have to travel far to cast off, surf the waves, or cruise Lake Maubuisson and the magnificent Atlantic beaches.
Various activities nearby:
1) Water sports: surfing, sailing, windsurfing, canoe-kayak, parasailing, catamaran tours, and water skiing.
2) Outdoor sports: adventure trail, paint ball, mini golf, rock climbing, horseback-riding, and cycling on numerous bicycle paths (120 km).
3) Activities for children: boat clubs, beach activities and multi-sport clubs, and merry-go-around.

It was Nice location , the person is really friendly , the house is clear inside and outside, there is free wifi included , the ocean is really nearby inkls directly at a lake. the are include own parkplace directly by house !

La Cabane is only 300 metres from the lake edge - so walkable in 5 minutes - and there is a handy Spar store at the end of the road where you can get your fresh croissants and/or chocolatines for breakfast. The property was very well presented, and Nathalie was very welcoming. It is compact as described (the clue is in the name, after all), but has everything you could require, including spacious outdoor decking where you can always find sun or, if it's too hot, shade - this is where we took all our meals. As a previous reviewer has noted, the only caveat to make is that the stairs may not be suitable for very young children or the elderly as they are quite steep.
Maubuisson itself is a beautiful place right on the southern edge of the largest fresh water lake in France and less than 5 miles from the Atlantic. The lake is great for kids (lots of shallow water for splashing about or learning to swim) and there are lots of water activities on offer - paddle boarding, wind surfing, canoeing, sailing etc. The sea is great for surfing (body boards or stand-up) and you can always find plenty of space on the beach, especially if you're prepared to walk beyond the most popular spots. The area is also good for cycling - there may be an absence of hills, but there is an impressive network of well-maintained bike trails through the pine forests - you can bike to the sea without having to go on any roads, for instance, so very family-friendly.
We are already missing our regular evening stroll into town along the lake front!

Couldn’t ask for more! Everything you’d want in order to have the most amazing holiday. The place is located literally 2 mins walk from the amazing Maubuisson Lake

Last September we spent two beautiful weeks in this small, but beautiful house. everything was well organised and perfectly clean. In the kitchen we found everything we needed in order to cook, even coffee, marmelade, honey and a sweat present from the owner.
Thanks to very warm and sunny weather we always enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the terrace. Each morning we cycled to the sea, it took us about 30 minutes with our bikes. You can rent these right in the village.
The beach wasn't crowded at all, although there were many surfers at that time.
All in all, our vacation could not have been any better!
