About this house rental
Situated in the heart of the Corbieres and in the proximity of : the Cite of Carcassonne, Cathare Castles, abbeys, and sandy beaches.
This is a charming gite with a looked after décor and an enclosed shaded treed area with hammocks and chaises longues.
Renovated in 2008, from an old wine cellar. Accessible via a 20 m2 terrace with panoramic view over the vineyards and the nearby village.
Swimming pool heated opened from 01 may to the end of October.
Swimming pool to share, garden furniture and barbeque. Toys for childreen ( swings, ping pong table ).
The proprietor will happily give you a tour around the vineyards and wine cellar.
On the ground floor : 1 bedroom with a double bed ( 140 cm ), toilet, living room, kitchen and bar.
On the first floor : 2 bedrooms with a double bed ( 140 cm ) and 2 single beds ( 90 cm ), bathroom with separate toilet . Baby furniture.
Electric heating ( 35 E / week ).
The 2 bedrooms , which are south facing, have air conditioning.
Bedlinnen : 5 E/ bed.
Cleaning : 40 E.

We enjoyed a lot our stay and we can highly recommend Les Parazols. Jean-Pierre is a very helpful and friendly host - he knows really well his region and recommended a lot of visits and activities. The house is comfortable and well-equipped, the garden is huge and safe (great for small children). It is very calm and at the same time close to many places of interest: abbaye de Fontfroide, Carcassonne, les chateaux cathares, the sea, Narbonne, etc.

We have just returned from a week at the gite, 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
The pictures do not do it justice, it is much more spacious in real life. The gite is located in the middle of many villages for amenities. There is a Spar in St Laurent which stocks everything you need. We could not fault the gite at all, it was very clean upon arrival and has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The grounds surrounding the gite are perfect for using the bikes to explore, there is a ping pong table and a pool which we did use along with hammocks and loungers. The area is very quiet and great for getting away from it all.
When we arrived we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine made by Jean-Pierre and were taken on a tour of his cava where he makes his wine. Jean-Pierre is very enthusiastic about the area and will answer any of your questions.
We visited Collioure on our first day on Jean-Pierre's advice and would say it is a must on anyone's list of places to visit.
We enjoyed our stay so much we will be returning in the future.

"This was one of the best gite holidays we have ever had! The house was spacious and comfortable. It was peaceful and tranquil, in a beautiful valley of vineyards. It offers easy access to Narbonne, Carcassonne, Perpignan and all the many lovely small towns in Aude. Natalie, Jean-Pierre - and Alexandre - were the perfect hosts - friendly, welcoming and always ready to offer help when required."
