Enjoy a carefree vacation in this fully stocked, completely renovated, 100 year old farmhouse on 2+ hilltop country acres...This spacious home is simply decorated with a stainless/granite kitchen, dining room, family room, living room (with a wood-burning fireplace, a deck, and a covered side porch. There is a large first floor bedroom and bath (with shower) and 3 bedrooms and a bath (with jacuzzi tub) upstairs. For entertainment there are board games, puzzles, DVDs, and internet access for work or play.
One of the best things about this place is its location right in the heart of the Blue Hill peninsula with easy access to nearby Blue Hill, Stonington, and the beautiful waters of the Eggemoggin Reach.

This property was amazing…very historic and well loved with complete modern amenities, including deck with wooded view, great kitchen and eclectic design style…all which give a great rustic but modern stay!

I have managed a hotel and an Inn, and I travel a lot. I know my stuff.The host cannot control the weather. The July heat & humidity was brutal. Global warming needs a/c. There is nothing charming about not being able to sleep. The washer/dryer are in the basement. There is no railing on the very steep stairs. The 4poster bed on the 2nd floor needs better slats - 2 people meet in the middle-sag. There are carpenter ants coming up to the 2nd floor. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear, but no room to put dry goods. There needs to be a shelf or two emptied. If a prior guest leaves anything in the fridge, it needs to be tossed by the cleaning crew. To keep the cellar damp smell under control, hang some charcoal bags, and ask the cleaners to make sure towels are dry in the dryer before they leave. It is a lovely property, it just needs a bit more attention to the details.
