Very comfy, peaceful place right on the Gunnison River.Great for 2 people. Town of Gunnison is nearby for supplies, groceries, restaurants. We got groceries at Natural Grocers and cooked in. Spent a lot of time out in the yard watching fishermen and rafters go by on the river.Spent a full day at Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, which was about 60 miles away. Very quiet neighborhood.Only visitor was a deer who came by while we were out in the yard reading! Contacted the owner with a few questions and she answered promptly. Enjoyed or stay!

The property was nicely decorated and comfortable. 2 complaints, beds were old and very uncomfortable. The bath tub had a piece of trim that was coming off and was very gross. Cheap toilet paper which makes you use twice as much. Didn’t make sense to me. Donna was wonderful just need to replace the beds and work on the bathroom.

My wife and I (and our little dog) had a wonderful time in Donna's place along the Gunnison River. In mid-May the river was quite full and fast. It is only 50 feet out the back door with chairs on the back deck or a swinging seat in the yard overlooking the river. As mentioned in her description we had deer walking thru the yard every day. There are places on either side but we never saw anyone or any other noises. Very quiet and peaceful. If you come in May know that at altitude (7700 ft) it can be very cold in the mornings but if the sky is clear it will warm up quickly. The place has baseboard heat which was effective at maintaining temps inside as the outside was in the upper 20's. The kitchen was outfitted well although we did not do any cooking. The appliances are relatively new and in good shape (fridge, over, m/w). Be careful the the microware as it is 1600 watts! Be conservative with the time until you know how it cooks!The wifi has a strong signal and it fast and reliable. The TV is large enough but uses the local ISP (Spectrum) with all the normal channels. Bring your own box if you want more (Roku, Google, Apple TV, etc). The single bathroom is not large but the medicine cabinet is stocked with everything you can imagine if you forget something. The showerhead has a strong flow and gets warm quickly without much waiting. There is a separate baseboard heater with its own thermostat in the bathroom so you can always keep it warm.

My husband and I usually stay at a resort; however, this time we chose a VRBO, and I'm so glad we did. When we arrived check in with easy per instructions provided by the host. We enjoyed our time in your cottage. Watching the birds, the deer and the duck races (with actual ducks) in the river kept us busy and amused. We even had a visit from a bear. Would highly recommend your home to anyone looking for total peace and quiet.

Being right next to the river and within minutes of town were definitely the best thing about this place. As constructive criticism I suggest replacing the mattress in the small bedroom and giving the bathroom a bit of love. I mean, everything was functional but some TLC would go a long way. Overall we enjoyed the stay and the rental provided us with a great point from which to explore the area.

Location was great, on Gunnison River. Deer walked by back deck every day. Bed was a little too firm for me, my husband said it was ok with him. Had to contact owner regarding how to get shower to turn on, they responded right away.

You can sit on the couch and watch and listen to the water rippling by on the river outside the back door if your not outside setting by the fire pit. Deer visited everyday and ducks swam up the river. Great relaxing atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood. The house was just perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Donna’s property is wonderful ! It’s right on the river with so much wildlife to view, ducks, fish, small birds and deer. There is plenty of space inside and out. Quaint little house on the river.We had deer everyday to watch out the windows. The beds and the bathroom were small and a bit outdated. 4 adults would have been a tighter fit, but for the 2 of us, cozy! We'd stay here again!

Beautiful, convenient place. My wife and I plus my adult daughter and her significant stayed very comfortably, cooked a few meals, had a blast. We spent most of our time out and about, but this was such a great place to come home to. My wife and I fly fished everyday (creeks and rivers between Gunnison and Crested Butte), and we had a nice comfortable back deck to drop our waders, rig up our rods, hang out, happy hour, watching the rafters, fishing guides, and eat dinners. Ducks, geese, deer shared our view. Saw them everyday. The only reason I say 'almost perfect' is because I was hoping we could wade out from the backyard and fish. At least while we were there the current was a little strong, water a little high, but so it goes with any river access. It was fun enough to watch a couple boat anglers catch a couple right in front of us. Easy in, easy out. No traffic noise, peaceful.

It was such a peaceful location with rain and deer viewings included. Being right on the water made it over the top. A cabin/lodge vibe with quaint and comfortable decor. Includes lots of kitchen cooking equipment, enough to cook for a family. Note no disposal in sink. If we ever find ourselves in Gunnison again, we'd stay here. The only drawback was the one bathroom did not have a fan/vent in it.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was amazing and met our needs perfectly. It was so nicely decorated and bed was very comfortable. We loved the view of the Gunnison River. We had a visitor from a young buck one day! He stayed in the yard quite awhile. We would certainly recommend and would love to come back. We did have an issue with the TV and the owner stayed on the phone with me until it was resolved which I really appreciated. The problem was not the TV but our knowing how to use!

Loved the location. Cabin is very nice but older so not like a luxury hotel. As long as you realize that, it is great. Very quiet, out of the traffic in town. Since it is by the river, there are many gnats and of course they do get into the house but that is to be expected if one knows Colorado at all. Deer came right by sliding glass doors every morning, so beautiful, and the cabin has everything you need, even a hair dryer. The only suggestion I would have is to replace the mattress in second bedroom. It is soft, but doesn't support very well since it is probably older. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. Outstanding for cabins in the Gunnison area and we have stayed in many. Also priced well compared to other lodging in the valley.
