Welcome to Blue Waters Edge, professionally operated by Waters Edge Vacation Rentals in Ludington, Michigan.
Built in 2021 specifically as a vacation rental, this 4,400 sq. ft. Lake Michigan home was designed from the ground up for large families and groups. From the heated saltwater pool and hot tub to two kitchens, two laundry rooms and endless Lake Michigan views, Blue Waters Edge has something for everyone.
HEATED SALTWATER POOL
Pool heat is included at no extra charge!
Enjoy an 85°F heated saltwater pool from mid-May through October 31. There is nothing quite like swimming in warm water on a cool September or October day while overlooking Lake Michigan from the bluff.
We have two pool heaters and can adjust the pool temperature warmer or cooler upon request at no additional charge.
The pool area also features:
* Heated outdoor shower
* Poolside natural-gas fire table
* Lake Michigan views
* Plenty of patio and deck space for relaxing in the sun
HOT TUB
Our Hot Spring hot tub is kept around 101–104°F and features two built-in massage seats and a top-of-the-line filtration system.
One of our favorite times to use it is at night. Relax under the stars, listen to the Lake Michigan waves, and watch the illuminated freighters traveling in and out of Ludington harbor.
AMAZING LAKE MICHIGAN VIEWS
Blue Waters Edge sits high on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, creating incredible panoramic views.
Four of the six bedrooms have pool and/or lake views.
The large covered lakeside porch has comfortable outdoor furniture where you can enjoy the view while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool. Prefer the sun? There is plenty of open deck and poolside patio space as well.
You may even find yourself looking down at seagulls and the occasional soaring bald eagle. There is a bald eagle nest just a couple of houses south of Blue Waters Edge.
PRIVATE LAKE MICHIGAN BEACH
Enjoy 107 feet of private Lake Michigan beach frontage.
At the beach you'll find:
* 6 chaise loungers
* 2 kayaks
* 2 stand-up paddleboards
* Approximately 1½ miles of beach to explore
Take a walk along the shoreline, paddle Lake Michigan, or hunt for Petoskey stones—we've found them here!
**Important:** Blue Waters Edge sits on a high bluff. Reaching our private beach requires approximately 100 steps plus a trail, and the return trip uphill can take around 10 minutes. For guests who don't want to make the climb, the heated saltwater pool provides an easier way to enjoy the water and Lake Michigan views.
TWO FULL KITCHENS
Large groups need space!
Blue Waters Edge has two fully equipped kitchens one on the main level and another on the pool level. That means plenty of cooking space and, just as importantly, lots of refrigerator space for food and drinks.
## NEVER RUN OUT OF HOT WATER
Two tankless hot-water heaters provide enough capacity to run up to four showers simultaneously without running out of hot water—an important feature when traveling with a large group.
TWO LAUNDRY ROOMS
There are two laundry areas:
* Main level
* Pool level
No hauling everyone's towels and clothes through the entire house.
WHOLE-HOUSE BACKUP POWER
Blue Waters Edge has two automatic whole-house generators.
If the power goes out, the generators automatically start so a Michigan storm doesn't have to interrupt your vacation.
EV CHARGING
An EV charger is located in the garage so you can recharge your vehicle during your stay.
NEARBY PUBLIC BEACHES
Our private beach is beautiful, but the bluff stairs aren't for everyone. If you prefer an easy-access or drive-up beach, there are several excellent options nearby:
Buttersville Park – Just down the road, with a smaller public beach.
Stearns Park Beach – About 15 minutes away in downtown Ludington. A large public beach with accessible walkways and an easy stop for lunch, shopping or ice cream.
Ludington State Park – One of Michigan's premier state parks, with more than 5,000 acres of dunes, beaches, trails and the Big Sable Point Lighthouse.
LOCATION
Blue Waters Edge is conveniently located between Ludington and Pentwater—approximately 15 minutes from each—so you can enjoy both communities during your stay.
Mason County Picnic Area is directly across the street. Play the disc golf course, explore the trails, or hike to the top of the lookout tower.

Everything you could need for accommodations to make for a wonderful stay and enjoy family time! The pool was used nonstop by the 10 kids we had with and most went to the beach daily too. It is a bit of a hike so young toddlers and our 7.5 month pregnant sister didn’t make the trek as often. Spotless home, great communication and overall top notch experience!

The house was even more beautiful than the pictures! The view was amazing! The house was extremely clean and well maintained. We were impressed with how well stocked it was, from the kitchen to the beach toys. All the extras like the gas fire pit, two fireplaces, etc. added up to make for a great vacation. The owners were easy to communicate with, and their attention to detail in this home makes it a perfect place to stay!

Our family loved our 3 night stay at Blue Waters Edge! House was clean and well equipped!! Kids and grandkids had a great time at the pool. Being able to play around in Lake Michigan was also a plus. I'd give this home 10 stars if I could! We hope to go back again! Only wish there were more opportunities for a 3 night rental in the summer.
