About this villa rental
Antica Villa del Conte is an exclusive location located within the natural park of the Palude del Conte just 200 meters from the splendid crystal clear waters of the Punta Prosciutto Bay, the pride of Salento.
The structure is an example of the typical rural architectural tradition of Salento, with large rooms covered by star vaults, tuff walls and white lime plaster. The villa offers 2500 square meters of private park, embellished with dry stone walls and typical Mediterranean vegetation.
The Villa offers two large independent apartments with sea view:
Amaranth and Turquoise (Homelidays advert p6880608)
The Amaranto apartment located on the ground floor (120sqm), offers three large double bedrooms, large living area with double sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen for 8 guests, two full bathrooms with shower embellished with Moroccan tadelakt finish.
The ground floor apartment also has a large outdoor porch facing the sea, for exclusive use within the park, equipped with a large table and chairs where you can eat in company or spend relaxing moments. There is also an outdoor shower and a laundry corner with sink and clothesline; A Weber barbecue is also available for our guests.
The Turchese apartment (100sqm), located on the upper floor, offers two large double bedrooms, living area with double sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen for 6 guests and a complete bathroom with shower. All the rooms are paved with splendid hand-painted Vietri ceramics.
The Turchese apartment has a large outdoor area facing the sea, for exclusive use within the park, equipped with a table and chairs umbrella where you can dine and enjoy in complete relaxation. There is also an outdoor shower and a laundry corner with sink and clothesline; A Weber barbecue is also available for our guests.
Each apartment is equipped with mosquito nets, alarm system, hairdryer, large fridge oven and air conditioning system (air conditioners for Amaranth, fans for every room for Turquoise). For our guests there are also umbrellas and a deck chair for each apartment, to be used during the day on the beach. Antica villa del conte has a wifi line at guests' disposal and private internal and independent parking for each guest.
The sea is only 200 meters from the apartments and can be reached through a path through the Mediterranean scrub in a few minutes. The nearest beach (at 300m) is free and uncrowded even during peak periods. For those who need a beach, the nearby Torre Lapillo is less than 1km from the property and offers different bathing solutions according to different needs.
The suggestive location Antica Villa del Conte is unique along the entire coast of Upper Salento. Immersed in the Palude del Conte park, surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub and only 200m from the sea, it is the ideal place for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. The nearby Torre Lapillo offers numerous services that can also be reached on foot or by bike in less than 10 minutes through the landscaped promenade path that runs through the entire Palude del Conte park. The small beach nestled between the cliff is a private and uncrowded place only a few minutes away from the Villa. We stayed at the ground level apartment with four adults and four small children. The apartment was decorated beautifully, just like the immediate surroundings of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped, the 3 bedrooms are spacious and the 2 bathrooms are very functional.
Because of the spring weather (wind and relative low temperature) we spent a lot of time inside in the kitchen/living room, which is a little bit small with this party.
Beautiful beaches are closeby (5min drive), so are grocery stores and the small but nice city center of Avetrana (15 min drive). Lecce is 45min away by car, Nardo 25min and the Valle d’Itria starts at about 45 minutes.
Benito (and his family) is a wonderful host and very helpful showing us around.
