About this cabin rental
Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley near Luray and the Shenandoah National Park, Hawksbill Retreat Lodge is the largest rental cabin at Hawksbill Retreat, housing up to 30 guests. Containing 10 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms within its two levels, the Lodge is perfect for large family gatherings. The Lodge provides a king suite with fireplace and garden tub, two queen suites with fireplaces, two bedrooms with two full beds each, three additional bedrooms with a queen bed in each, one bedroom with two queen beds and one bedroom with a king bed that offers a shower with 5 body jets. All bedrooms are decorated in a style consistent with a mountain cabin getaway and flat screen TVs. 2 full sleeper sofas (1 in the living room and 1 in the game room). There is a full kitchen with upgraded appliances, hardwood floors throughout, a game room with a Pool Table and an Air Hockey Table and a dining table that seats 20. The great room has a stone fireplace and large flat screen TV with an open floor design to provide comfortable seating and adequate visiting space. There is a wrap-around, covered porch around the entire cabin with plenty of outdoor seating, mountain views in every direction, a 7 person Hot Tub, an outdoor Fire Pit and an additional large deck with additional seating. All beds are based on double occupancy.
Now with very fast HIGH - SPEED INTERNET and ROKU streaming devices in addition to Satellite TV.
All guests at Hawksbill Retreat may enjoy the 45 acre property that is conveniently located, within minutes of shopping and major attractions such as Luray Caverns, the Shenandoah River, and the Shenandoah National Park . The property is only minutes from Luray, Va in the foothills of the Shenandoah National Park, which can be easily accessed, and it is less than 30 minutes from Massanutten Ski Resort and only 45 minutes from Bryce Resort. Across the street from Hawksbill Retreat is a municipal park with a seasonal Olympic-size swimming pool and plenty to do for kids. On site there are over two miles of accessible walking trails, 2 Gazebos, a stocked 1 acre fishing pond and 45 acres of space to explore.

Cabin is very cozy and very clean. We had 16 adults/2 children but never felt too crowded. The bedrooms were just lovely and the beds very comfortable! Suggestions - master bathrooms could use toilet paper holders and a bath caddie in the showers. It was weird having the toilet paper and your shower supplies on the back of the toilet. Minor details but would be most helpful! We really loved the outdoor space - oh and that wrap around porch - heaven! The fire pit was great for our evening catch-up chats. Randy and Misty were great to work with (Misty - I appreciate your "hand holding" getting us in the door!) Hoping to stay again next year in your beautiful home.

The house was very clean and spacious. We had our annual family vacation there. The problem that we had was 1. The gas grill turned on, but didn’t produce enough heat to grill a burger.2. The stove was not much better, the burner took 30 minutes to boil water and the oven had smoke billowing out of it. Cooking there was very challenging, which is an activity they we usually enjoy a lot on these vacations.
