BETWEEN LAKE AND MOUNTAINS: La Belle Etoile - Rental ★★★★ near Lake Annecy

This is a great property in farm country south of the lake. We spent five weeks there and would stay again in a heartbeat! The property is as described, spacious, and comfortable. A great option for anyone looking to stay in this area.

This is an absolute gem of a property, tucked away in an unspoilt, quiet village, only a few mins drive from the edge of Lake Annecy. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable & has everything you need for a most enjoyable stay. It includes an outside area, adjacent to the property for BBQs, sunbathing & playing badminton or boules. The owner is charming & helpful. We highly recommend this property & would love to return again in the future.

We were a big family of 8 and it worked out perfect for us to stay at this wonderful, fully equipped flat for four nights during Easter. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay in and the owners were very friendly and helpful. It is near to shopping marts and also close to Annecy sight seeing areas. The views all around the flat is beautiful!!! Each bedroom with enough wardrobes, towels and everything you might need for over night stays. Kitchen fully equipped and all amenities in best condition for use. Would highly recommend and would want to come here again and again!!!

We would really like to recommend „Entre Lac et Montagnes“ and "La Belle Etoile"! We rented "La Belle Etoile“, which is on two levels, for 8 people, for one week, 7 adults + 2 small children on a big family holiday. The flat has an open area up to the 2nd level, where the young children and their parents lived. Admittedly, this open area made that noise, especially small children crying in the night, easily spread to the other areas of the house. It could also be quite hot on the 2nd level, but two big fans did the trick! The apartment has remote controlled skylights with blinds. Lovely to be able to close when the sun fires bad in the middle of the day, and open again in the afternoon / evening! The windows will close automatically if rain starts pouring down. The apartment is very well equipped with TV, DVD player, games etc, as well as a generously equipped kitchen, and even, to the great delight of Norwegian guests, a cheese slicer! We appreciated a very friendly, welcoming, service-oriented host, responding to all our inquiries in the very smooth way. The one that we had directly and often contact with were Caroline, who speaks English very well. The hosts would like to be notified approx. one hour before expected arrival. The apartment was provided with a quite extensive booklet with lots of information, unfortunately only in French, but Caroline promised that an English edition was on its way. The guests in "La Belle Etoile" have access to a large outdoor area, which we used i.a. to barbecue, badminton and sunbathing. We also had access to our own storage room, which we used for storing our bicycles. "Entre Lac et Montagne" and the village of Le Villard are good starting points for excursions in the surrounding area. There is only few minutes drive to a large swimming area, where there is also a bicycle rental. Short distance to "Carrefour" and "Intermarché". Many good bike paths, sheltered from car traffic. Those who want a challenge with cycling can try on the ascent to Col de la Forclaz, starting close by „Entre Lac et Montagnes“. In short: We all had a very pleasant stay in "Entre Lac et Montagne" and „La belle etoile“, and would love to return there if we are going on holiday in the Annecy area!

Really like the apartment, great style and upgrades. We will come back next year. Only complain is that the internet is very slow and you have to log on all the time. Not ideal if you want to work. Otherwise perfect.

Family holiday in La belle etoile, photos do not do full justice to the apartment, it was very spacious and well equipped and we took full advantage of the big garden for barbecues and had a fantastic holiday. Hosts were great. Excellent location for both lake and mountains.
