The space
Stunning Colonial house designed by Miami Architect offering contemporary space whilst preserving the authentic beauty of ancient colonial architecture yet giving modern comfort.
The house offers all amenities to enjoy without going out yet within its surroundings, you can experience restaurants, shops, sight seeing and much more. You will be living in the Heart of Merida in Santiago Barrio which originated in 1642. Many travelers have compared Santiago to Havana, Cuba- so many unique beautiful homes in a residential community close to Parque Santiago and Santiago Mercado. The Mercado is an important part of daily life in the Barrio, stunning flowers, local vegetables, fruit ready to be part of your Merida experience in the cocina of this home. Wonderful fish tacos or sweet delicious flavors of local ice cream are in the Mercado, local honey and so many spices needed for authentic Mexican cuisine.
Bedroom one is downstairs and has its private two sink/bathroom attached. Also this bedroom has a private entry off the vestibule. The ceilings are 11 feet, pasta tile floors, two large windows with wooden shutters and hand forged protection bars with screening, large closet. Extremely large desk with two comfortable chairs, dressing table/mirror, large antique bookcase, two locally forged iron crystal tables and King bed, A/C, 50 ft TV, FAST INTERNET and mini refrigerator.
Bedroom two is downstairs and has its bathroom 10 meters away from the room. Handmade wooden doors with screening that opens to front center courtyard, 11 foot ceilings, pasta tiles, large closet, Queen canopy bed, antique bookcase, chair, desk and wardrobe, A/C!
Master Bedroom Suite is upstairs (stairs with only one railing) with large private bathroom attached, additional large living area with a sofa/ bed where two more people can sleep. This bedroom suite has 1 matrimonial bed, 1 large queen bed, large screened windows, pasta tiles, two large closets, private balcony that overlooks the garden. Mini refrigerator, large desk, multiple seating areas. And TV! The balcony has small table and 4 chairs, chaise recliner for enjoying the tranquility both day and night. A/C and fast internet.

I loved the beauty of the property and the host was so easy to work with/ The property manager was very accessible. Even though it was a mile away from the city activity, I felt safe to walk the mile to get there, and it was very easy to get an Uber at any time of day or night. We were unable to use the pool or outdoor area due to the numerous mosquitoes. I would not consider this a safe property for children due to the lack of safety railing on the stairs leading to the apartment. As an adult, it was great!

The house is amazing, Sharon is great work communication. The house manager is very responsive work a lot of great recommendations. I would highly recommend stay at this house.
