Your Cozy English basement studio apt is 4 blocks to the walking mall and other great downtown attractions. Ivy covered stone steps line the climb to your small home away from home. Perfect for a single or couple in need of a convenient place to stay in the town of Winchester. Close to the hospital/ shopping. D. C- 1.5 hr. Baltimore -1.5 hr. The space
This basement apt has a living room with TV and DVD player, the bedroom is separated from the living area by glass french doors. Down the hall, you will find your own washer/dryer and a modest but cute kitchen(with everything one needs for cooking but no stove- but electric surface hot pads(2) )toaster oven and microwave. Then a full bath with shower. Outside your private entrance there is plenty of on street parking. The apt is not dark as there are small windows and good lighting. There are approx. 6 steps once inside to reach the apt. Like a typical basement, ceilings are not that high, so if you are over 6 feet tall -you may feel like you are in a Hobit house!
Overall charming feel and also has a cozy gas fireplace. Great little spot !

Very cute place to stay at a perfect location to the little historic district of Winchester. Bed was comfortable but very small futon. We are tall people so it was not quite long enough for us. Bathroom was extremely small, doable for us but if we were bigger people it would be difficult to get into that space. Water pressure for sink was poor, shower was just okay. Quaint place with a friendly, engaged owner. We would go back just for the amazing location!

Situated in the middle of the neighborhood, so parking is on the street, but was convenient. We had an issue with the propane fireplace, but the property manager was extremely responsive and took care of the issue immediately.

Friendly owner. Came over when I couldn't start the pilot light on the gas wall heater. A few blocks away from some excellent restaurants in the historic district. It's in a remodeled basement with air ducts so head clearance is limited for tall folk.

My dog and I enjoyed our snowy winter getaway in Michele’s cozy basement! Everything was as stated and what we needed. I liked being able to walk to downtown Winchester or hop in my car.. I would return!
