About this house rental
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful location right on the lake. Beautiful sunset views. Great for a couples quiet getaway or fun for the whole family. Take the kayak or canoe out on the lake or rent a pontoon boat from Wonderland’s Marina! Spend time fishing on the dock. Keep an eye out for the deer that come at twilight. 30-minutes from Ann Arbor for sporting events or a night on the town.
Details:
This comfortable lakeside home has front and backyard areas. There is a bird feeder frequented by songbirds on one side and a gorgeous view of the lake on the other. The back patio has a table and chairs. There is also a fire pit with loveseat by the water. There is a neighboring house close to the left and untouched property to the right which gives the cottage the feel of being more remote in nature, even as it is among the other lake houses.
Inside, you’ll step into the open concept living area with a kitchen, dining table, breakfast nook, and two couches framing the sliding window doors that open to the lake. To the left of the living area is the entrance to the first bedroom with two queen beds and a large window looking out over the lake. The spacious attached bathroom with heated floors has a walk-in closet turned nursery. On the other side of home, through the kitchen, you’ll find the other bathroom and bedrooms with a queen bedroom overlooking the lake and a bunk room for the kids.
The laundry room and private office area can be accessed through the bunk room or from the patio area through sliding glass doors. The office has windows on all sides and a nice view of the lake. It’s a great spot to work in or relax.
Tips:
Driving up, it can be easy to miss! Look for the two tall pine trees.
We have a new Kinetico water softening system and a tankless water heater. It takes time to warm up. Leave 3-4 minutes before your shower to make sure the water is just right. Enjoy the heated floors in the largest bathroom!

Spacious waterfront house, very clean, and well equipped kitchen. We stayed there for thanksgiving so we didn’t do a lot outside, but there is an outdoor table, small lawn, and a mini beach. There’s a house less than 40’ from one side but not visible inside, and the other side is a large natural marsh. Good communication with the host, super easy.

Lovely home with the most beautiful view! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would stay here again. Beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The house sits on little portage which is a nature paradise! It was easy to get to the bigger lake and ride on our ski boat. It was also nice that they provided kayaks. The house was very easy to communicate with. We had lots of space and gorgeous lake!

We loved our stay here! The house was cozy with a comfortable living space, well appointed kitchen, and functional bedrooms that suited our party of 8 (6 adults, 2 kids) perfectly. The crib in the master closet was perfect for the baby in our family and the supply of kiddo books, highchair, and plastic cups, plates, and bowls made vacation with our littles much easier. The lake views were beautiful, even in the winter and we loved watching the ducks and other birds skate/swim on the water/ice. The host was amazing and fast to respond from when we booked through our stay. Thank you so much!!!
