About this house rental
Welcome to Port Sanilac Michigan & Happy Harbor! As you enter the house your first word will be “WOW”. We spent 5 months completely remodeling this house. Regardless of how nice your home is this will live up to your standards. The craftsmanship of the improvements from the tile work, to the extensive shiplap, to the decorations. You will fall in love with this home and the downtown! Take the golf cart out to explore the downtown or relax in the hot tub! (please note: golf cart available mid-april through Nov 1st)
Dogs are welcome with an arrangement upon booking! They must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. You must request permission BEFORE making your reservation to bring your dog(s). There is an extra fee to bring your pets.
It's in a quiet neighborhood, 3 blocks from downtown Port Sanilac.
Downtown is within walking distance, however, there is an 8-seater golf cart there for our guests to utilize! No extra charge
- Dog(s) are allowed but you must get permission first before you rent this cottage. The dog(s) must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. Please sweep up/vacuum dog hair and dispose of prior to your departure. There is an additional fee to bring your dog(s).
HOUSE RULES:
- No more than 3 cars on site
- Do NOT park on road or in neighbors' way!
- All furniture must be put back where it is found!
- No Shoes on while inside the home
- Quiet hours are from 11 PM to 8 AM
- Dog(s) must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. Please sweep up/vacuum dog hair and dispose of prior to your departure. There is an additional fee to bring your dog(s).
- Please respect our neighbors by not having loud music or by yelling and using profanity (many are permanent residents!)
- Garbage must be bagged up, put into trash bins at the end of the drive way at departure.
- You must be 25 or older to rent this cottage
- Please note: RVs, tents, and campers are not permitted at our homes. Failure to comply will result in applicable fees.

Wonderful vacation with my family! The house was perfect for us and the location was great too!! Golf cart and hot tub were definitely our favorite though!!

Cute house, we loved being able to take the golf cart down to the break wall and watch the sunrise. Fireworks in the nearby town of Lexington were amazing!

The house was cute and close to the lake. The hot tub was great. Beds are comfortable . Wifi adequate.The bummer was that it was not cleaned very well and not stocked with basics ( like measuring cups, foil or plastic wrap or enough toilet paper for the entire stay) We had to clean out the fridge before we could put food away in it, rewash quite a few dishes as there was food on them still ( even though they were put away in the cupboard as if they were clean). The dishwasher smelled like something died in there so I cleaned it thoroughly, removing candy wrappers and chunks of food in the drain. There was a full dryer of linens that smelled so moldy I had to rewash them. On top of that the fridge would randomly start beeping even though the door was closed.. We believe the sensor was broken.. we did let owner know who quickly rained they were looking into it. I am not OCD with cleaning, just expect a bit more especially for such a steep cleaning fee.
