On a manicured lot nestled into the island "secret garden" - the maritime forest, this is the perfect home for those seeking peace and serenity for your BHI vacation. Relax, play and leave the stress behind is the vibe at this three-bedroom, 2.5 bath Bald Head Island hidden gem. This home provides for outdoor living at its finest.
This classic Bald Head Island cottage greets you with a covered screen porch for lingering while enjoying the tree breezes and birdsong. Inside, the open floor plan starts with a window-surrounded living room boasting plenty of natural light and multiple views of the Island's resplendent Maritime Forest. You can snuggle here (watching a movie or playing one of the many games provided) or step outside onto the house side screen porch and while away your time rocking while breathing in BHI's serenity. Just steps down from the screened porch is a shrub-cloistered oversize deck with a children's swing, a ping pong table and lots of space for dining under the stars and enjoying the outdoor living. With the gas grill, new Brown egg, fish cleaning station and lots of space for you to enjoy the games and books the owner has provided.
Back inside, the long, distressed-wood dining table affords places for six and is adjacent to the breakfast bar which offers even more seating. Chefs will delight in the kitchen's handsome granite counters, stainless appliances and convenient nearby pantry/laundry. This floor also houses a half bath. The substantial King Master also provides a sizable Master Bath with a marble vanity, an oversize walk-in closet, a very large shower and a separate water closet. If you just have to work while you are here (hopefully not) there is desk space, and a wireless printer.
Upstairs, two bright bedrooms await. The first, with two queen beds, and the second with a third queen and a new full bath. This well-appointed property displays decorator touches everywhere-including hardwood floors, wainscoting, plantation shutters, tasteful art and upscale lighting fixtures.

We loved the house and the location and had a really comfortable stay. The only complaint I would have is the bikes were all pretty unusable. Some didn’t have brakes that worked some didn’t have seats that adjusted and were all in pretty rush shape.

Home was clean and nicely updated inside. Appreciate the beach chairs and umbrellas. No room for food storage in kitchen, no room in closets in bedrooms to store suitcases. Home needs power washing . Grill burners don’t work correctly. Difficult to get into golf car in garage because scooters we blocking walking paths

Our family of 4 spent a perfect week at Slack Tide. Communication and instructions from the management company were perfect. We even had a welcome text inviting us to arrive to the property early, even though we had not requested it (a lovely touch!). The house was spotless with comfy beds, tons of towels, and incredibly well-stocked in the kitchen. There were also tons of supplies like toilet paper, trash bags, detergent. We didn’t need to bring anything extra like we do with most rentals. We loved the choice of bikes and beach supplies. And the golf carts were both newer and nice. Ping pong table and screened porches a huge plus! The location was also ideal - very private and serene in the forest, while still close to all of the amenities. Five star stay! We can’t wait to be back!
