Hotel Aktaion

We spent a wonderful week here and honestly couldn’t be happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are newly renovated, very comfortable, with central air conditioning and large balconies. The location is fantastic – just steps away from one of the nicest places to swim in Tolo, while also being perfectly positioned for exploring Nafplio and the rest of the Argolis region by car. What really made our stay special, however, were the people. A huge thank you to the hosts and the entire team! Everyone, without exception, was incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. Our room was cleaned every single day, and the level of care and service genuinely felt like something you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The hotel also provides sunbeds that guests can use free of charge on the beach, which is a great bonus. Breakfast was another lovely surprise. There was much more variety than we expected from the photos on Booking, everything was fresh and delicious, and overall the value for money was excellent. And you can enjoy your breakfast and morning coffee right by the beach, with a beautiful view of the sea. We came here hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, and this place gave us exactly that and more. We honestly feel this place deserves an even higher rating on Booking. For us, it’s an easy 10/10 and a place we would happily choose again!

Having read some of the previous reviews, we can honestly say that we really have nothing to complain about. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, there is free parking nearby, and the rooms are completely renovated and very well maintained. Most importantly, you can genuinely feel that the people running this place do it with a lot of care and love. They have clearly put a great deal of effort into every detail to make sure their guests have everything they need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We honestly couldn’t find anything we didn’t like.

Very clean hotel, on the beach but calm. The staff was friendly and willing to help and give you any information.. Breakfast was fine. A place where you would like to come back again. We also enjoyed the sunrise from the beach.

The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable and the shower was always hot.The furnishings seemed to be new. The air conditioning efficiently warmed the room on the chilly evenings. The staff were SO friendly and helpful. The best part was the view from our large balcony (we booked a superior room) which was South-facing, overlooking the beach and small harbour. Table and chairs and sunloungers on the balcony. We were there over the Greek Orthodox Easter and had an amazing view of the processions and fireworks. We could also see the free car park at the end of the beach just a few yards away - very convenient. Tavernas and restaurants were just a few yards away, either along the beach or via the street. At this time of year the hillsides are covered in wildflowers and its not too hot for visiting the nearby Mycenae ruins.
