The cozy "Meerzeit" vacation rental in Werdum on the North Sea near Neuharlingersiel
The building housing our vacation rental is located in Werdum, a state-recognized climatic health resort and a green oasis of tranquility on the North Sea. Here you’ll find the peaceful and healthy relaxation you expect from your North Sea vacation.
The climatic health resort of Werdum, in turn, is located very close to the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel and just as close to the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea Nature Park,” a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009.
The “Meerzeit” vacation rental is located on the upper floor of a single-family home. It features a cozy and welcoming design and furnishings and is well-equipped. Additionally, the garden features a partially covered and furnished terrace where you, our dear guests, can truly unwind.
It’s not far from the “Meerzeit” vacation rental to the center of our old Warfendorf village of Werdum—after all, we’re just a very small village. Also nearby are the “Haus des Gastes” and the Kneipp therapy hall. Not far away at all is the petting zoo, which is especially popular with the little ones—it’s home to many exotic animals to observe and even pet. And just a few meters from there, you’ll find yourself in the center of our little village of Werdum, at the village square with the adjacent country brewery.
Since the climatic health resort of Werdum isn’t all that big, life here is quite peaceful and tranquil—simply relaxing. However, there are also plenty of events and activities to enjoy during your vacation. You’ll find yourself right in the heart of country life.

The state-recognized climatic health resort of Werdum, located near the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel, lies 4 km as the crow flies from the dike and the North Sea—a green oasis in the midst of the vast East Frisian landscape. Werdum is a small and cozy village that welcomes guests year-round, offering above all peace and relaxation a short distance from the tourist hustle and bustle of the Siel towns.
It has everything you could need: plenty of events (more than 100 in the summer alone), the “Haus des Gastes,” spa facilities, the “Rasender Kalle” tourist train, guest-friendly curling, bike tours with barbecues, covered wagon rides, horseback riding for people with disabilities, a coastal brewery, and much more.
Werdum is an old, organically grown village built on mounds, whose history dates back to around the year 1300, and it features historic architecture typical of the region, such as the Häuptlingsburg, the Erdholländer windmill from 1748, St. Nicolai Church, and an old-fashioned blacksmith’s shop.
The North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel—very close by, perhaps a five-minute drive—is a 300-year-old fishing village with an active shrimp-fishing fleet. In the beautiful historic fishing harbor, East Frisian fishing is still actively practiced today by many crab fishing boats.
Neuharlingersiel offers a wide range of tourist attractions for your vacation: A beach with the fantastic “Platschi” water play area, the new, modern “BadeWerk” spa and wellness center with a seawater indoor pool and sauna facilities, as well as a spa house, a ballroom, an information center with the “Leuchttürmchen” children’s playhouse, the Sielhof as the “Haus des Gastes,” green spaces, events, a lovingly maintained historic harbor, and of course the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park” with its unique natural spectacle, as well as many other attractions.
